FRUIT OF THE BLOOM
So who is it to be ?

Until the last couple of days i would have said Defoe.

However I really think Owen should be given the nod, i just feel that he wont let us down and is desperate to play and prove a point in this one.

Owen will get the nod, even if his leg is in a plastercast!

I say Defoe purely because he's played games this season, Owen is out of it...but Sven will play him

Play them both, with Rooney just behind and Ledley King sitting infront of the back 4.
Midfield Lampard and Beckham

Defoe - has more pace and more confidence.
Defoe is on form - Owen is wishing he never went to Madrid.

Hove, f***ing ACTUALLY.
Go with Owen, he has done it in the past and has a habit of scoring very important goals.

The £10 I have on him for first to score has NOTHING to do with it :jester:

Why take an unnecessary risk on Owen? This is Wales we're playing, not Brazil.

Defoe and Rooney will be too much for the Welsh to handle.

Do you mean that Owen is an unecessary risk because of his injury or the fact that he is playing crap at the moment?

Trying to be serious for a minute. I always believe that you should field players who are in form. It doesn't matter if you play Wales or Brazil, if someone is off-form, you are taking a gamble. I'd pick Defoe, and pick Owen again once he's playing regularly for RM (if that ever happens).

You have to take tough decisions at times like this, it would be all too easy to pick Owen, but I would plump for Defoe.

(So I'm sure Owen will now go and bang in a hat-trick):lolol:
