Hypothetical question , a bit like joining the common agricultiral policy , no one was consulted when it morphed into the EU so why worry about re joining it , look on the bright side of it being a better proposition of remaining in a crumbling sceptical EU

Once we get to 3 years most democracies start to think about calling for a fresh mandate from the public for stuff. We've gone past three years since the referendum, that mandate is only getting more tenuous.

I can't see this country going through the same shit every few years , what if's aren't going to change anything at the moment , we're leaving the EU ,what goes on after that in 10, 20 ,30 years time is anyone's guess you're better off getting on with your life , chin up

What should the time limit be on the vote from June 2016? It's a really, really, really simple question.

You'd save yourself a lot of time and effort just answering it.

Have to say, I think at the moment it's more likely that whichever of the two incompetents wins the Tory leadership position won't be able to form a stable government. That being the case, we're more likely to have a General Election that will then cause a further extension on Brexit. If Corbyn finally wakes up to reality and campaigns on a promise of a second ref with Remain being an option, then the odds of Brexit ever actually happening drop significantly.

In your opinion, in all seriousness, what do you think the time limits should be on votes?

Say there was an advisory (non-binding) vote you disagreed with, but then it was messed around/not enacted for 5-10 years, you'd think it probably shouldn't be valid anymore, wouldn't you?

Have to say, I think at the moment it's more likely that whichever of the two incompetents wins the Tory leadership position won't be able to form a stable government. That being the case, we're more likely to have a General Election that will then cause a further extension on Brexit. If Corbyn finally wakes up to reality and campaigns on a promise of a second ref with Remain being an option, then the odds of Brexit ever actually happening drop significantly.

EU are already expecting a further extension request from us, a GE would be a valid reason for one, and most seem to think the next extension would take us to end of 2020, over 4 years after the original vote.

Brexit looks pretty unlikely in that scenario.
