I had similar near me. What is it with these *****s?
Jnr reckons it's me - I'm a magnet for drongos.
I reckon it's me - as 'if everyone around me is a dickhead, there's every chance it's not everyone else'.

TBH walking out we spent more discussing their 'hot takes' than the game. ("The whole team were clearly on the piss, last night")

I came to the conclusion they don't really go to games, as they were desperate for Welbeck and The Lana to come on and sort it out.

Great player for sure. How are you defining loyalty though ? Has he turned down better offers ? I’m not sure any footballer is actually loyal. Some just stay a long time.
Historically most of the Albion's Most Loyal Servants have been those who never had any half-decent offers come in for them. Else they'd most probably have been off like a shot 😄

The guy behind me had The Rage when Lallana was brought on and at one point said the name Adam should be enough to put the recruitment team off as "we've never had one good enough".

The pass from Gross, the second of the 1-2 s, was just perfect for Van Hecke to run onto. JPVH didn't have to break stride or slow down to control the ball (the defender would probably have caught him). Incredible thinking from Gross.

Even better if it could be in German.
Is This The Way To Amarillo is a hugely popular song in Germany. I remember seeing Hannover 96 fans singing about their club to it, clapping along etc. Surely we could do something with that.

I keep trying to do something with Bach's Grosser Herr, o starker Konig. I thought of Herrlich Gross, o starker Konig (Wonderful Gross, o powerful king) but can't think of the next line.

Surprised we don't sing He's here, He's there, He's every f***ing where. Pascal Gross, Pascal Gross

Scans well and is a fitting tribute to one of his many attributes.

We must be one of the few clubs without a song to the tune of Delilah at the moment.

Pascal Gross, my kaiser
Pascal Gross, my kaiser
We can see you Cruyff turn your way to freedom
So gewinnt man und wir werden es immer lieben

(i won't give up the day job)

Arguably the most famous song originally written in German is Silent Night - aka Stille Nacht, Heilige Nacht. So let’s just sing that but - here’s the clever bit - with every word replaced by Pascal Gross. Roll over Hal David, tell Tim Rice the news.

It goes:
Pascal Gross, Pascal Gross
Pascal Gross, Pascal Gross
Pascal Gross, Pascal Gross
Pascal Gross, Pascal Gross.

I think that would sound rather beautiful actually.

Reminded me of messi’s pass to Mac in the World Cup final and Mac’s onward ball across the defender to the winger to score

I mean, if he's our Lord:

Pascall Gross my Lord. Pascall Gross.
Pascall Gross my Lord. Pascall Gross.
Pascall Gross my Lord. Pascall Gross.
Oh Lord. Pascall Gross.
Pascal Groß, mein Herr Pascal Groß, oh Herr Pascal Groß
