I'm less fond of him with Sutton. Sutton and ABB was utter genius. In fact, Sutton is gold. He's a wind-up merchant, but his analysis is as good as anyone's. Good on the Monday Night Club too.

Love Sutton, he knows how to rile callers, whilst staying supremely calm. Also calls out diving PL players, whilst most others such as match commentators and MOTD play the happy-clappy game “Well there was contact”.

Class act. To think he was written off by a lot of fans a few seasons ago - look at him now!

He was also written off by Potter. Only came back into the squad after we had one win in 11. We then went on a long run of great results (albeit starting with a goalless draw with norwich) with one defeat against man city in the run in

Oh agreed but, then again, it was about the only decent thing he said all night. All those terrible comments about how he'd been so wise in commenting that JPvH was getting too close to their CF. That's how JPvH plays and Savage was just demonstrating that he's barely watched us. JPvH played exactly the same way against Haaland.
He was gushing about our second goal to be fair….

This is utter nonsense. He played about 80% of the PL games when GP was manager:

I'm used to utter nonsense spoken about GP on here by now though.

I actually think he’s got years left in him. He is a proper ‘footballer’, a bit like Lallana, who doesn’t solely rely on physical strength or speed.
But he still seems to run further in our matches than any other player.

Strength and speed are less important when you have one of the best football brains and technique in world football.

Listening on the radio yesterday you get such a strong sense of how vital he is to just about every attack of ours. It’s just insane.

I know songs never move from NSC to actually being sung but he really deserves a better one than the current Ian Wright rip off one - and one that actually gets sung loudly and at length. Seems weird to me that Moder gets sung about a lot more than Gross does.

He’s phenomenal.

He gets better game by game, year by year. The only other player I can think of who kept improving like this after 30 is Pirlo. I watched a lot of Pirlo who was recognised as one of the best of his generation and they are on a par now as far as I’m concerned.

His consistency and fitness is ridiculous, he’s the one player who NEVER gets a rest.

I’m glad he’s finally being recognised by the wider world as proven by his Germany caps and MOTD last night. Germany should be building their team for this year’s Euro’s around him.

Even better if it could be in German.

Go tell it on the mountain,
over the hills, and everywhere;
go, tell it on the mountain
that Pascal Gross is lord.

He scores when he wants to,
he'll put it in from anywhere;
he never stops running
the'll put you to the sword.

Did the poor fella get a chance to sit down on the train, or did he just jog up and down it stopping for pics with everyone?

Met him on the train home Yesterday as he was on his way to a stag do in London with some friends. An absolute legend who was more than happy to take pictures with a load of incredibly pissed blokes.

Did the conversation go something like this...

"Sorry for bothering you, but I have to ask an Albion legend, can I please get a quick photo?"

"No problem Pascal, of course you can."
