Played a lot of them and there's some good courses locally.
I really like Hillbarn, it's 5 mins from the house too, the back nine are a challenge too.
Rookwood is a nice course.
Lindfield is my currant favourite though.
Singing Hills without doubt, beautifully manicured and a true test for all standards.
West Hove is good but murderous to a high handicapper like myself, played it twice and the course has destroyed me both times.
I Cannot stand west hove, i have hot some of my biggest rounds up there. always seems to be an awkward lie. Not a fan at all.
what are your favourite 2 to play at singing hills?
A golf course I dont enjoy at all, West Hove -just really dislike it and the blind holes on the side of a mountain do nothing for me.
Mannings Heath is a good afternoon out & the Hassocks greens are in great shape this summer.
Lake and Valley.
the middle course, River I find difficult, especially the last hole over water and a tree for a par 3.
Totally agree with this. And what is the 18th all about, I know it's downhill but Christ alive that's a long way, should be a par 7 rather than 5.
And Hassocks greens were like putting on glass 2 weeks ago, never seen them that fast before.
River is the hardest of the 3 9s I think (whenever I mention golf, I have to slip in the fact that I got a hole-in-one the first time I played River at SH) - hopefuly there will be a fourth 9 at some point - they are planning one.
