The Field of Uck
Seaford Head is my favourite.

For a Council owned course it always seems to be in good nick. You can't beat the views over the Downs and Seven Sisters and the tee shot for the 18th has to be the most spectacular in the country!

Worthing
Worthing (Lower) though the Upper is also a good test despite being onlyy PAR 66. Ham Manor has an interesting front 9. One of the best value for money courses and a real challenge is Rusper.

Singing Hills is good, bit too American in its style for me - but a good test.

Mannings Heath (Waterfall) probably my favourite, but the owners I believe have made it a members only course. I think we're very lucky in Sussex to be blessed with a number of good courses.

Seaford Head was class-lots of bunkers and air raid shelters.Potted plenty of balls up there, and in winter, the dustbin lid slide down the 18th was magic. But golf?never been that bored!

We can be found at West Hove driving range most weekends for an hour or so each day, maybe squeeze in a visit once on a week night.

We're not ready for the course yet, and when we are it will probably be one of the local par 3's, at the age of 5 his little legs can't cope with much more...Myself I'd love to see Singing Hills, but just can't find the time to spare at the moment, so am sticking to teaching the little man with visits to West Hove.

I had heard they planned another 9, where will they put it though?

Have you tried Cottersmore? the Griffin course there is up there with the best i've ever played, forgot that one earlier.

I believe they are planning a "wooded2 9, so I guess it'll be on the left as you go down the driveway. Maybe a while off, I think they are at the stage of applying for planning.

Tede - I talked asbout Golf with Zef last week, when you're ready for Singing Hills, you know where to find me.

I'm a member of Royal Eastbourne so thats a fav of mine. Was previously at Eastbourne Downs which is the best course in the town when the weather is good which isn't that often hence I left.

I usually play well at Cooden Beach as it just suits my eye, so thats one of my favourites, always well maintained and food is great too. Crowborough Beacon is a tough course, got to drive it straight there. Both courses at East Sussex National are good but not when wet. Like the Dyke, East Brighton and Brighton and Hove too.

Played Singing Hills plenty of times including their open but it always rains when I play there. River and Lake are good, Valley less so. Food always spot on. Haywards Heath is another good tight track.

One of the best courses in the area imo is Hemsted Forest at Cranbook which is really tight and not that far from Sussex. Have a mate who is a member there and its a real challenge - if the driver isn't straight you aren't scoring there.

Hassocks ok for beginners or society days whilst I've had a few shitty days at Mid Sussex and won't be rushing back there - course just doesn't suit my eye but the off course stuff has put me off. Played an East Sussex League match there last year in freezing conditions and the meal after was a bloody salad with cold spuds - thanks very much:annoyed: Understand they have new owners there now though.

Rich I'd LOVE to! But a) I don't want to embarrass you and b) I just feel a bit rotten taking up most of one of my weekend days....call me a daft Mum but I like to spend time with Arthur on the weekends, and feel bad if I go off to do something without him....

been a member at Pyecombe for about 23 years now and still love the place...I never get bored going round time after time as most holes have something about them  If given permission by the missus I'd like to get 18 in on Saturday mornings before a quick 10 minute drive over to Falmer every other week this season :amex:
