Maybe, maybe not. However he's certainly not Cucu and the club have said that they 'couldn't guarantee' him regular football.

So gripper's point stands. We, Brighton and Hove Albion, have just sold one of our reserves to Napoli for millions of pounds. I don't think I'll ever get used to this.
Your face will explode when, eventually, the coin is flipped.

When the club quietly announce £10m Julio Footallero's contract as been cancelled by mutual consent.
As we all reply "Who the Fook was Julio?"

Why are you entitled to know?

So long as TB, PB and the club bean counters know, that's all that matters. It's like that incessant "when will player x be back from injury, I wonder if player y has Covd?" before every press conference. We're not going to make that info easy for our opponents to know. Why should we?

To be fair it would be ‘nice’ to know, but those days are gone.

Whilst Naylor, Owen (and even NSC), might be in the ball park with estimates, in reality none of us are in the ball game, mainly because of the complexity of add on’s etc….

Seems like a decent move for both parties. Player gets a fresh crack at regular football, club gets some fresh funds to put to use elsewhere

Yeah, agreed. But my point was that I look at the pond we're currently swimming in with wonderment. In the old days (not so long ago for the likes of you and me) a squad player leaving in the summer would go to somewhere like Nuneaton on a free, not to Napoli for millions - and we'd drive them there ourselves.

I think there's a difference with me thinking . "I reckon its £10m with some add-ons" to journalists having spoken to sources who are in the room reporting that its "10m with add ons"
Also you do get to "know". Our transfer incoming bill is in the annual accounts.

Yes, that’s fair re annual accounts, but are they not a single figure?

Re your other point, are there any ‘sources’ left?

Leo on as a sub
Napoli under par but winning at Cremonese

Barely ten minutes on the pitch - so much for his 'won't go to sit on the bench' stance. Perhaps the bench at Napoli is nicer than the bench at Brighton - or maybe the grass isn't always greener..................?
I wonder how much of that (alleged/guessed/speculated) £10M transfer fee depends on add-ons. We could be waiting a while..........

Sadly Rrahmani might have wrecked his knee So Leo may get some game time now He looked off the pace tonight unsurprisingly But Napoli have been flying
I think that's 8 wins on the bounce
5 in serie A

Interesting.

Swanny was telling anyone whom would listen that he was a potential world class talent.

My view is that his quick one touch passing game was not up to Potter’s standards. Van Hecke seems the better player in possession. He was clearly signed for the bench for Napoli but I’m sure he’ll get his chance if some injuries occur.

Looking like good business at the moment for us though.

Looking like good business at the moment to get rid.
IF Rrahmani s out It seems a straight battle between him and Juan Jesus That he came on as sub bodes well for him imho

That depends on how much of the rumoured £10M fee is performance rated though. Presumably bonuses won't be triggered for bench warming.

Ostigard s deal runs until 2026 @25K a week if the source I just stumbled across is correct ?
Not a bad life if true, eh? "I'm not going anywhere of I'm not going to be a first choice....... what's that? £5M over four years you say? Hmmmm ............. move me to 'maybe'."

Ostigard is a weird one. I always struggle to reconcile how good he is with how good he thinks he is. He's clearly a very confident lad, and fair play for getting a move to Napoli. It's a huge club with a passionate fanbase. Either way, good luck to him.

Napoli are absolutely on the move in Italy this year and he could be the second former Brighton player (if we extend the honour to loan players who helped us get promoted to the Premier League) to win Serie A in 2 years.
