As anyone said if there was anything in the actual loo? If her urine was in it wouldn't that help his case.

Nel has finished now. He asked Oscar was he to blame for killing her. Oscar replied that he took her life. Nel then asked who should be blamed for firing the gun. Oscar replied that he thought it was an intruder. So Nel asked if he was not to blame for firing the gun, then we should blame Reeva and if not her, maybe we should blame the government?!

There was a lot of discussion about the magazine rack in the toilet as Oscar says Reeva was not lying not lying on it when he went into toilet. Oscar says he must habve kicked it there when he went in, but there were no skid marks in the blood.

He then went very quickly through what he thinks happened, Oscar denied it all then Nel finished.

we will now see what the defence come back with and which contradictions they choose to follow up on.

I thought it was a rather lame finish... but maybe there is another opportunity for Nel to really lay it out in detail and leave the case in no doubt?

OP wants us to believe that he gets up to move the fans, without saying a word Reeva gets up for the loo, and despite OP being out of bed doesn't bother turning the lights on, even though it's pitch black enough where OP couldn't properly make out if she was in the bed or not. So in that darkness she walked to the toilet perhaps with her phone for light which he also didn't see.

She then slides open the window (with a bit of slam to make a loud noise) then goes into the toilet. OP then says in a soft voice to the bed for her to get down and phone the police. He then grabs his gun and goes down the passage shouting 'get the f k out of my house' repeatedly in a girl like screaming manner.

The only other noise he now hears prior to firing 4 shots into the door he is inferring must have been the magazine rack.

OP didn't hear any response from Reeva, no voices from potential intruders, nothing. We are to believe his 'fear' is generated from his girlfriend opening a window (a hot night given he was bringing the fans in) and the movement of a magazine rack.

She never spoke once as OP approached the bathroom shouting and screaming, not even a 'whats going on Oscar'. He never got a response from anyone. Just those 2 noises.

Four shots into a door with nothing to go on but fear and paranoia, or as the state suggests, anger and rage.

Quite. Although he also says that he heard the toilet door slam whilst he was in the passage, between his screams like a girl.

At least he has admitted pulling the trigger!

Roux hardly re-examined at all. Showed a picture where the Duvet had been laid out flat and the jeans moved and now turned right side out. We have no idea when that picture was taken.

One of the assessors asked if Reeva could have turned the alarm off or not. Oscar says she she did not know the code, but could have done it with the remote (but we do not know where the remote was).

After today court will be adjourned until May when other experts and witnesses will be called to give evidence. I believe that OP at some point will be cross examined again by the prosecution.

There is an application that the judge will give an answer to tomorrow morning, to adjourn later this week (probably from tomorrow after court I would imagine) until 5th May. Defence have indicated that they will be finished by 16th May, depending upon cross-examination by the prosecution. 7th May is a public holiday as that is when the general election is. So after 16th, they will do final summations and then the judge will decide that he is guilty...............sorry, I mean go off and make her decision.

Oscar has finished now - he will not be recalled as far as I am aware.

I could be wrong but I believe that I heard on BBC News that he could or would be called back to the stand one more time after further witnesses and experts have given evidence.

But maybe I'm altering my defence to fit my version of what I heard or thought I heard :)

May, god that's ages away. Why don't they just get on with it instead of letting him keep his freedom for another month.

Due to Easter and the loads of Public Holidays we have at end of April, they are only losing 7 court days. And that both the prosecution and defence have other cases that they should be working on now, which they have had to put back because this trial is overrunning, so they need to get on with it. Mrs Johnson, who is the lady sitting next to Nel and passes him stuff/whispers to him when he gets things wrong or needs clarification, in particular has a case that cannot wait any longer.

At the end of my tether
Call me naive if you like but I have yet to see any real evidence of deliberate murder. Plenty of questions, plenty of suspicion, but hard evidence ? No.
The cross examination only confirmed that he is a highly strung idiot who was likely to freak out and panic

IMHO of course...
