I was looking up the listings for my local cinema today and it says on Tuesday and Thursday there is a "Parents and Baby Screening" for Shame. Blimey o'Dongle! i thought, i wouldn't go to see that sexed up exvagaganza with my toddler in tow. I suppose, though, it means that parents can take their child to an inhouse creche so that they can watch the filth without the whining of their miniature identical so close.

I think of the 80 or so new films i saw last year pretty much only The Artist is on the list of those up for award.
