Yes, nominated for best actress and the hot favourite to win.
What I am saying is that a lot of people like the film.
Ok WAR HORSE IS ABSOLUTE SHIT. Ok, can we move on now. You are right am I am wrong. Thats what you wanted to hear. I am a useless twat regarding films and anything and everything I ever say can be treated with utter contempt.
Right , now perhaps we can discuss matters with the knowledge you are always right.
No. A lot of people paid to see the film.
Box office takings have very little relevance to how many people liked a film.
You could argue DVD sales might be useful to tell how many people liked a film as the tend to be by people who've seen the film and liked it.
You don't buy a ticket to the cinema because you like the film you buy a ticket because you want see the film
That is factually incorrect. The second weeks takings of a film are very relevant in comparsion as that is when a film has legs, no pun intended or will crash. A % of 82% in a films second week is very robust and suggests good word of mouth and recommendations. I am sorry if this does not fit with the agenda but, hey ho take it or leave it.
US stop being so sodding stroppy all the time, it's like talking to a child.
It's not an agenda, I couldn't care less about the film.
I'm not discounting that word of mouth and recommendations play a part in cinema takings but you stated that because a film took a lot of money it meant they thought it was good. It pretty obviously doesn't.
Of course there's an agenda FFS. The rigging of my poll which despite people trying to make out I am a paranoid fool , it was rigged so obviously and the general shouting down of any opinion I ever put forward as without worth is maybe why I react like I do. And usually if a film is shit, word gets around fast and box office takings plummet literally within a week. Films that gain good worth of mouth find the box office takings hold up as it has so far with War Horse and other films that did the same thing in the past. It is called " a sleeper ". Still disregard this as it is obviously a load of bollocks.
As keaton says, it's like talking to a stroppy little child. Quite unbelieveable.Ah well Simster at least you can always read my posts in the knowledge that you are a superior human being to me in every way imaginable. Some times I just wish I could be more like you but life has dealt me a cruel hand.
Poorest actress ever. Smoking hot though, if she asked me very very nicely I'd let her give me a lap dance.I came away thinking this was the only good thing :
I know it's quite a "Children's" movie, but I was surprised that Alan Rickman didn't get a nom or Best Actor for the Harry Potter series.
What animated movies have there been this year? The list seems really poor:
Best Animated Feature Film of the Year
Nominees:
A Cat in Paris (2010): Alain Gagnol, Jean-Loup Felicioli
Chico & Rita (2010): Fernando Trueba, Javier Mariscal
Kung Fu Panda 2 (2011): Jennifer Yuh
Puss in Boots (2011): Chris Miller
Rango (2011): Gore Verbinski

No, that's not what 'a sleeper' is at all.
So yes to the last sentence. People disagreeing with someone who posts opinions as fact and get's basic stuff wrong is not an agenda
Well yes a Sleeper is normally a low budget film or something that comes from nothing and with word and mouth and positivity popularity grows and box office grows. So WH is not a sleeper I agree. So you right again, well done mate, give yourself a Gold Star.
To recap, I merely offered that splendid new "FFS Parr" smiley after you replied like a whiney little baby to Nibble, whose only crime appeared to be to display contempt at an Oscars list including War Horse at the expense of another film.Be my guest and never speak to me again then. Its no skin off my nose.
