Great news, for the Royal Family, and the Commonwealth. It's a great morale booster at a time when so many of us are struggling in the doom and gloom of the economic downturn.

Rolling news on the big Royal Wedding

I'm not sure watching some rich royal twit and his tart getting hitched is a boost while rich Tory twits ruin the country for their own benefit.

Still, each to their own. I'll take the bonus day off.

Did you prefer the rich Labour Twats then?

TB now estimated t0 be worth in excess of £50m (not including Cherie), even Gordon Brown is estimated at £10m. Nice little earner this politician lark, if you do it right.

He's a lucky man. I got a lap dance off her for £40 in 2003 before she'd even met him. Christ she's got a great arse

1245: The PM says he got wind of the news during a cabinet meeting this morning. It was met with "a great cheer" and "banging of the table" from fellow ministers, he says. Mr Cameron also tells reporters he's spoken personally to William in the last few minutes and the prince sounded very excited.

Just like in my office

Waitrose. Veg aisles
A nauseating amount of coverage on the BBC 1 o'clock news. I'm surprised their noses aren't a lot browner.

Edit: I am a supporter of the royal family and wish them well, mind. But really, the world doesn't stop so we can hear about the wedding dress and the engagement ring on the 1 o'clock news, piss off!

Have they set a date? I assume July?

Would be great to have the day off. Can't recall but was Charles/Di on a Saturday or weekday?
