On the contrary, I find lots of people enjoy the Olympics in a really bizarre way. “Oooh did you see the cycling/sailing/curling/window cleaning championships?” despite the fact these people have literally no interest in the sport at any other time. Another one’s that Rugby World Cup, I know plenty of people that have paid a small fortune to go to it despite having never been to a Rugby match. Some people would literally go to the opening of an envelope if Sky Sports promoted it enough.
Same as the people (mostly women) that talk ENDLESSLY about Wimbledon for two weeks, and then never mention tennis, or any other sport, again until next year.

I am mad into the curling.

To be fair, I do enjoy watching it on the odd occasion I happen to see it on a channel that I have access to. Obviously the British team at the Olympics is just the Scotland team everywhere else, so I just want them to win.

Are these the same people who have bizarrely strong views on how "grumpy" Andy Murray is, despite clearly not being remotely invested in tennis or Andy Murray?

Question as per title.

Now the Euros are out of the way, we can switch attention back onto Fab and the boys with players back in training and preseason games round the corner.

What are you most excited about for the 24/25 season?

With Mitoma and Enciso back and with the additions of Osman and Minteh we should be RAPID in forward positions.

Wieffer looks class too, excited to see how he develops for us.
Seeing the new boys. Hoping weiffer is a competent replacement adding some power into what was the weakest part of the squad last year..

Hopefully a bit of a positive squad refresh after some of the self inflicted miserablism of latter stage De Zerbi.

Hoping that we've stockpiled so many wingers that we don't have to see Buonanotte out there again. (Number 10 as a sub)

Mitoma back (hopefully)

The next stage of Baleba who I think is going to be immense this season.

Ideally an actual competent right back playing at right back.

Whatever amazing Pilsner they are going to DEFINITELY by stocking in honour of Herr Hurz.

Barco taking the mick out of bigger boys.

The return of a fit and firing Ferg.

We've got an amazing squad if we can get it to all fall together in one place.

Very excited and gutted to be missing the first match - although I will be watching it in a bar noo yoik- so I'll get over it quick.

Without Europe bogging us down (it did, accept it) seeing a fresh team every week will be a delight

Yup, such a delight that Europe is no longer 'bigging us down' (whatever that means). Rejoice! Rejoice!

:nono:
Autocorrect failure, but anyone who thinks we didn’t suffer somewhat because of the exertions of Europe is deluding themselves. Don’t get me wrong, it was great, but getting humped by Fulham etc was a hell of a downer

I'm looking forward to being back at The Amex as a STH after a two season absence and hopefully finding myself sitting near some lovely folk in my new home in the WSU.
Whereabouts? You might be near me as my neighbours are moving and I'm dead nice!
