PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE dont not have it done. I had a small polyp removed at that unit and it turned out to be a spitzoid melanoma. My dentist, Dr, and various NHS specialists all thought it was "probably" just a benign growth but it actually turned out to be a very rare occurrence of a cancer (like only the second anywhere worldwide in a person on my age group and gender rare ). In all probability yours IS nothing but on the very unlikely event it is something else its worth having it done. The actual surgeries were quick and relatively painless- more discomfort for a few days. Follow up treatment was not required just regular check ups for a while,

PLEASE go and have this removed when you are able to.

.

I will. Thank you for the advice.

I know they said it was very likely to be benign. they did say they would do a biopsy as well. Nothing is happening at all at the moment, of course. My dentist did xray my face and mouth so hopefully there isn't anything nastier lurking.

The bloke in the row behind spitting on me as he hurls abuse at the ref/opposition - bad enough pre-Covid!

Like others have said, definitely commuting to London. I've been working from home since March 17th last year, and the thought of leaving home at 05:30 and not getting home until 19:00 (on a good day), and paying £500+ per month for the privilege fills me with dread.

I'm seriously hoping that I can convince my employer that there is absolutely no need for me to return. In the 10 months I've been wfh, not a single issue has cropped up that I couldn't resolve by not being in the office.

Fortunately for me, I worked from home for the last ten years or so of my career, selling IT people, training and services. It worked very well for all concerned. I even charged expenses for those rare occasions when I needed to travel into the office (when I was self employed).
I also retired almost two years ago. :O

The endless throb of banging on drums in certain football crowds. Those places are almost better without fans.

Just the general 'full-on'-ness of my life in general. It's made me re-evaluate a bit.

Not having our desks nicely spaced out at work. It’ll be back to banks of desks, elbow to elbow, so that when one person gets a cold it’ll creep down the line, infecting one after another.

Meanwhile, 3/4s of the floor space will stand empty.

You say it as though you have no say in how much you drink?

Possibly at one time I guess. I've always enjoyed the all dayers at football. A couple before the game, then carrying on into the evening in town. But then not enjoying feeling rough Sunday morning.

I have beers at home since 1st lockdown, but found I wasn't really enjoying drinking beer on my own. At times I seem to find it a bit boring at times and weekend mornings with a clear head quite appealing.

Having to travel down to London for work fairly regularly. Without question.

“Go to London! I guarantee you'll either be mugged or not appreciated.

Catch the train to London, stopping at Rejection, Disappointment, Backstabbing Central and Shattered Dreams Parkway.”

I would say commuting but as a firm we won’t be returning to the London offices on a full time basis likely to be 2 days a month so more of a day out!
