looks like whingy could be on his way out on loan and with his contract up at the end of the season and little chance of getting near the first team here he will be looking for somewhere that will offer him a chance of a permanent deal.

I'm not sure that following Slade to Orient would be a good move but good luck to him whatever he chooses. I think if OGH hadn't already filled the "old pro/good example" role that Gus seems to favour, Whing might have earned himself an extension as a model to the youngsters coming through

It would seem to leave us with just el Abd as experienced cover at right back and that would take a lot out of our game going forward. Or would we go out for a loan player if Calderon were to be injured/suspended?

I'm sure Whing'll do fine wherever he goes...but it shows how far we have come that our palyer of the season only two seasons ago is now nowhere near getting a game

However, comparing him to the defence we have today, there would be no way for Whing to get into the starting eleven, unless there were about three injuries to the back four.

He would fit in well at Orient, along with Slade, as I feel he's a player who would be decent at the lower end of League One.

What the chap who hasn't had a real chance to prove anything yet? Clearlt not fit after problems last year and an interrupted pre-season.

I was about to say, he has looked pretty decent in the reserves and pre-season games, not that that's saying much.

Player of the season not so long ago, I'm sure a lot of the people who voted for him don't read NSC so looks like you're making assumptions that have little basis.
