Doro is a make of phone that is extra loud for the hard of hearing both ringtone and listening volume and simple to use. It is recommended by Action for Deafness

Have you, erm, had any charges appear on your Google Play account for "pictures". Maybe of an bovine/mature female humanoid variety?

An elderly couple who were billed £200 for pay-per-view porn films they claim were never ordered insist they are ‘not paying a penny’.

Ann Hayward, 72, and her husband Ron, 75, were left stunned after staff at Virgin Media told them dozens of blue movies had been ordered on their account. The couple from Reddish, Stockport, have previously disputed bills for adult films in 2009 and 2012 when they refused to pay bills for £190 and £500, the Manchester Evening News reports.

Mrs Hayward maintains neither she nor her husband ordered the films after re-activating Virgin’s ‘on demand service’.

‘I was told everything would be alright and not to worry. We got a message coming up on the TV saying “channels unavailable”,’ she explained.

‘It worried me so I called up and the next day I was told I’d ordered more than £200 of films. I was in shock.

‘I couldn’t believe it was happening again. No-one else comes in here. There’s obviously something wrong with the technology.’

She added: ‘I told them they can take me to court. I’m not paying a penny.’

A Virgin Media spokeswoman said: ‘These films were unquestionably watched by someone in the Haywards’ home.

‘We are happy to arrange a payment plan but have said they may want to find an alternative provider going forward.’

My Omsung Phine has given up the ghost. Looking at the cost of even a 2nd hand new model for them or for an equivalent Iphone is eye wateringly expensive, just want a cheapish 2nd phone generally used for betting so good for apps, any recommendations, preferable under £200??

I purchase all mine through https://www.smartfonestore.com/. You can get an Iphone 8 for around £200. Never had an issue with any phone purchased from them, would recommend

I'm on about my 4th or 5th purchase from smartfonestore over what must be 5 years or so and never been disappointed. Don't think I'd buy a refurb from anywhere else. Even their B or C graded phones you are struggling to find the tiny scratch that has downgraded it from an A. Bought a grade B XR for Xmas, and we spent some of the morning trying to work out why it wasn't an A. Found the tiniest of scratched near one of the ports, that you pretty much needed a magnifying glass to see.
crodonilson, my iPhone 6S is still absolutely fine for all the betting apps, and everything else for that matter, unlocked 64GB is £130.

The biggest issue I've had with refurbished/2nd hand phones is the battery life. I took a refurbsihed phone to Iphone to Apple a few weeks ago and they refused to replace because the company i pushed the refurb phone off had messed with it and taken some bits out.

You can get a OnePlus 5T (refurbed) from various sites for around £150.

I've just given my 2 year old one to my son (as I got a 7T off ebay for £425) but had he not needed a new phone (having managed to smash the screen of the last one I gave him) I might not have bothered upgrading.

It's honestly the best phone I've ever used in terms of speed / power / reliability / battery life etc and it's still working as it was when it was brand new (and I HAMMER my phones usage wise).

128gb of storage, no bloatware like Samsung, I'd say the only thing lacking is fancy camera settings but that never really bothered me.

The Mrs has a 5 and that's also a bloody good phone which will not need replacing after 2 years+.

I would get one of those if an Omsung is out of your price range.

EDIT - Review from when it came out here:

As you don't want an all singing and dancing model I suggest you go to somewhere like Game, Cash Converters et al and pick up a secondhand trade in.

You'll get a phone considerably better than you're used too, but for only about £100.

Smartfonestore give you a 14 day no quibble returns. You can test the battery, take it in store, if the same thing happens, you can just send it back. Think they've built up a lot of trust with the market over a number of years not to be pulling stunts as above. They did send me one where the battery was just a bit down on what was an older phone. Gave me a choice to send it back and get a replacement, or they knocked a further £30 off which I took as that was the cost of Apple doing a replacement battery for it anyway.

Replaced my trusty Nokia with a Moto G7 play last year and am happy with it although the bigger battery and 3gig ram G7 power does look the best option for a new phone under £200 right now

Have you looked on line at cashconverters if it is a cheapy 2nd phone you want.

Just seen Stat Bros posted similar. They will post it to you from any branch.

My issue with all these 2nd hand phones is their battery life is dreadful, that's the main reason I want a new one, it's only a secondary phone I use mainly for gambling away from my work phone but what i do need is something where the battery last longer than about an hour if in continuous use.

I know that you are not in Brighton but there are shops in London Rd that will replace an I phone compatible battery for about £25 fitted.
