How do other nations treat football at the Olympics? I'm not slating the team selected, I just see team GB as a bit of fun for the guys that didn't get to play in the Euro's...

South Americans seem to take it seriously. Don't think I've ever watched an Olympic football match in my life.

I'll check the GB team out just to see if Pearce has learn't anything from watching the Euro's. My guess is he'll play a flat 4-4-2 and we'll have 30% possession and run around like headless chickens.

I don't know what the format is for footy at the Olympics but I fully expect team GB to go out at the first opportunity.

CMS was approached and rejected a possible call up.

CMS rejected a place in the 35 man initial squad, yes.

This 18 was taken from that. There were not a load of world-beaters on that initial list, who are suddenly now missing (except Beckham...

I would imagine Rhodes would have been ahead of Sordell but for the SFA's attitude towards the competition.
