Good player in our strongest position, however 2 of the 3 incumbants have a year left on contract and the other is ancient. Good rotation signing who can grow with the team till Xmas and then boss things

One of his strengths does seem to be passing, and much as I enjoyed last year and good as the squad clearly is, the one thing that did tend to frustrate me, and in my view characterise us as a Championship team, as opposed to PL, was the times when the final ball went astray. IF his apparent vision can pick out a striker, then this may turn out to be shrewd buy.

Doesn't it being quick/rushed (as mentioned in interview) indicate it might have been a plan B?
Obviously they are very different players but still.

What I find encouraging is that he played in every one of the 18 games that Murray played for Reading when Murray scored 8 goals. So as you say, his vision to pick out a striker could help Murray if they had developed an understanding when playing together at Reading.
I am actually pleased we have Norwood instead of Pritchard, as he has so much more experience at Championship level, is a current international, whereas Pritchard's record seems to be a one season wonder so far.

The question is whether we need 5 or 6 in central midfield in the squad and whether this means Ince is loaned/sold and at what point Holla moves on.

I've had a sleep now, the worst of the flu symptoms seeming to having been taken from me, and whilst reading the introductory words straight from the Norwood's mouth I've become rather pleased with that signing, with a moderate up yours Pritchard mostly forgotten. I like the sound of a tough'n'tatted ballplayer. Suitable for modern football and the way we like to play.

I know in a poor Reading side, but hopeful a great squad addition. This means no Ince on Saturday....

We didn't sign Norwood instead of Pritchard. We wanted to sign both.
Solly March as number 10 when he returns? Bar a 4th CB, I think we've got our squad now
