DEV345G My Dad's white Ford Capri from 1968. The only brand new car he ever had............and RAF1212, my Dad's staff car numberplate from Egypt sometime between 1945 and 1948. By the way, he was the driver, not the bloke in the back! This stuck in my mind as the old phone number for Scotland Yard was Whitehall 1212.

Dial a disc - think you dialled 16 ?

I remember a regular game played with new starters at my first place of work. "You can dial a disc, free of charge. All you have to do is dial WXY". "I didn't know that. I'll give it a go". "Hello. Emergency. Which service do you require? Fire, Police or Ambulance?"

Oh what japes.
