First one - "turn of the century"? Presume you mean 1899-1900 and not 1999-2000?
Looks like maybe Arundel Castle in the background?

Second picture - my little sister lives right on the bend there on Neville Road

I’d say the first one was with the old St Joseph’s in the background?

I remember catching the special bus to Wembley in 1983 from where the Waitrose is now.

Bevendean Hospital.. I was in there for about a week sometime in the eighties. As I recall it was a funny old place with one or twe funny old nurses.!

I lived near there from birth to my early twenties, used to play unorganised football and cricket matches with other local kids in the hospital grounds.
Sometimes we would get moved on by one grumpy grounds maintenance worker.

Rayford Electrics in the 70’s and 80’s?
They had a shop in Worthing as well. Bought my first clock radio from there with my first Xmas’ tips from my paper round.
