I’d say the first one was with the old St Joseph’s in the background?First one - "turn of the century"? Presume you mean 1899-1900 and not 1999-2000?
Looks like maybe Arundel Castle in the background?
Second picture - my little sister lives right on the bend there on Neville Road
I played a cricket match there once.Bevendean Hospital.. I was in there for about a week sometime in the eighties. As I recall it was a funny old place with one or twe funny old nurses.!
