Love the scooter downgrade and stylish pose!
My parents met thereWhat memories to us of a certain age do the words "The Regent" bring back.. Syd Dean and his orchestra, the glamorous Jill Day warbling away., .creating the great atmosphere at the Regent Ballroom. I bet the parents or grandparents of many on here met at the Regent.
There appear to be some pornographic pics on display through the window above Hunter (the last shop on the left). Im sure thats a topless woman on the extreme left edge of the pic, and there appears to be some other topless shots too. What's that all about?
Buses are just porn in another guise ……Some are looking for porn I'm more interested in the buses...........it's an age thing!

The blue and white 49A used to come down my road in Southwick for many years - which was oddly quite exciting when I was a nipper. Some are looking for porn I'm more interested in the buses...........it's an age thing!

Would I be right in saying that would be Cross Road then? My grandad was a conductor on the 49/49A route, he and my nan were caretakers of the Salvation Army hall, on the corner of Moulsecoomb Way and Eastergate Road, and we lived in Southwick, which was handy. As we're on this thread does anyone have a picture of the Salvation Army hall, according to Dr Google it was demolished in 1956, but this can't be right, as my grandparents didn't leave there until the early 70's, so my guess is that it was flattened in the mid-70's.The blue and white 49A used to come down my road in Southwick for many years - which was oddly quite exciting when I was a nipper.
