The opposite of another post, here's a few who will always make me look, Will Smith, James Woods, James Earl Ray, Tommy Lee Jones, Tim Roth, Robert Carlisle, Jodie Foster.

All actors who deliver no matter how poor the film.

Russell Crowe and recent Leonardo de Caprio funnily enough and probably two of the actors who put you off for most of NSC

Oh and Christopher Walken

Wil Smith has a huge screen presence, but doesn't always pick the right films to be in (and presumably he has a large selection he can choose from) - but is generally likable. Have always liked Jodie Foster, but never been quite sure why.

Steve Buscemi - there aren't many films with him in that aren't top drawer.

I don't normally say this, but this. He is just fabulous to watch in everything, such an entertaining actor.

I'm absolutely LOVING Boardwalk Empire right now, had a marathon 3 episode catchup session last night. Buscemi is brilliant.

Not really many actors nowadays really, more interested in directors but I have enjoyed pretty much everything George Clooney's in.

Old ones would be Jimmy Stewart, Cary Grant, Jack Nicholson, Michael Caine and Humphrey Bogart

Another Buscemi fan here.

Morgan Freeman and Pacino are always worth a watch(even if some of there films are less than great). I also think Di Caprio is becoming more and more watchable. Christian Bale can usually be relied on for a decent performance. Depp and Clooney are two others who rarely let you down.

As for actresses, I think Cate Blanchett is absolutely fantastic. And of course the three Dames- Dench, Mirren and Smith.

Oh yes, I've not seen a poor performance from Beat Takeshi either.

I always like seeing Paul Giamatti. Probably ever since his turn in Sideways. His films are generally not so good, but there's something to his face that perhaps i equate to.
Phillip Seymour Hoffman too. He has some magic to him. Savages is on filmfour again this week and i might stay up for it.

A second vote for Blanchett - generally plays it understated and it seems to work. Had the misfortune to watch Robin Hood last week, and I think she was the only bright spot in it.

I watched Robin Hood on the internet. I have a terrible memory for faces so watched the whole movie thinking a)marion looks familiar and b) she's much, much better than anyone else in the film. Turns out it was Blanchett putting in yet another top class performance. In fact, most films she's in I don't realise she's in them until I check the credits for the quality actress.
