Don't like Jackman. His eyebrow annoys me, he's always got that 'Ancelotti' syndrome going on.

Russell Crowe. "Master and Commander" is one of my favourite films and he is utterly believable in his role as a true English sea captain, despite his Ozziness.

I'm not saying they haven't been part of a few turkeys but for me it would be:

Jack Nicholson
Gene Hackman
John Turturro

And Scarlett Johansson for more aesthetic reasons...

Morgan Freeman, Julia Roberts, Samuel L Jackson, Robert De Niro, Gene Hackman, Russell Crowe, Colin Farrell, Matt Damon, Minnie Driver, Kevin Bacon, Dustin Hoffman, Brad Pitt to name but a few, all have had films that i didn't like but all have that something that makes me at least have a look.

Thanks Greens :(
I think Nicholas Cage always gives good value, even in bad films, such as 8mm and Face/Off, which he amply makes up for in Con Air and Lord of War (or is it War Lord?)

Robert Shaw, Stanley Baker and Rutger Hauer to add to the list also...

Not movies but TV wise - David Jason.

If they put him in Gilmour Girls I would watch - and that's saying something.

If you've not seen it You Can Count On Me with her and Mark Ruffalo is a lot like the savages, but better i'd say
I can't say i have. Or i could, but i'd be lying.

Now, i am no outright gaylord, but when watching The Ruff in The Kids Are Alright, he's some fanciable shit.

There are a lot who I always enjoy watching, many of those already posted, as for actors who make we want to watch a movie:

Paul Giamatti
Philip Seymour Hoffman
Kat Dennings
Sam Rockwell
Nathan Fillion
Bill Nighy
Paul Bettany

(if we can include directors, Chris Nolan)

The only one I can really think of is DiCaprio - if you look at his quality control, and (since this does affect whether the I am interested in the project from the off) the size of the films, he is pretty unique. Just consider in the last few years he's done: Inception, Shutter Island, Revolutionary Road, Body of Lies, Blood Diamond, The Departed, The Aviator. Pretty much all of them are well worth seeing, a lot of them are brilliant - even the worst of those, Body of Lies, was made by Ridley Scott, a director who I would probably watch anyway.

Phillip Seymour Hoffman is another good shout - doesn't tend to do things unless he wants to do them.

I'm also thinking Woody Allen - but that's more because I'll relucatantly watch all his new stuff in the hope it might be good rather than because I have an ounce of faith that it will be!

Colin Farrell,if Carling made actors....probably the best actor in the world
