Aye, and got a free kick for every one of his dives! That's funny, because the big fella went down VERY easily at least once in the game...

You said that you watched his interviews and behaviors yet couldn't see anything resembling the hissy fit that so many on this thread have been accusing him of. This is because, unlike others on here, you haven't added your own warped interpretation of events.Sorry, you’ve lost me there.
Fab was 15 when Pep took charge at BarcelonaJust realised, Pep..... 'the greatest manager of all time' got out smarted by a 31yr old counterpart
A Paddington hard stare.Peptodismal's hushed Don Corleone tones, coupled with the thousand yard stare at the interviewer are quite something.

Horrible bloke! Couldn’t do it without an open cheque book backing him up.I know you’re not used to it but take defeat more graciously. Sod off and don’t give JPVH a lecture because he had your star centre forward in his pocket second half…Yesssss
Sorry you’ve still lost me. I heard him interviewed on 5 Live when I was returning from the game. The bus was noisy but he sounded quite self-effacing and emotional, as well he might after that game. Maybe other people are talking about other interviews he gave? You said that you watched his interviews and behaviors yet couldn't see anything resembling the hissy fit that so many on this thread have been accusing him of. Mate, he's paying you a complimentSorry you’ve still lost me. I heard him interviewed on 5 Live when I was returning from the game. The bus was noisy but he sounded quite self-effacing and emotional, as well he might after that game. Maybe other people are talking about other interviews he gave?
Not sure about this “warped interpretation” stuff but hey-ho.
You can take a horse to water....but you can’t make them drink!Mate, he's paying you a compliment
You can take a whore to culture, but you can't make them think! You can take a horse to water....but you can’t make them drink!
Haaland after we scored?
Oh.Mate, he's paying you a compliment
That's right these clubs appoint him and pay him a shit-ton of money because he's no better than the average armchair manager, heck anybody could do the job. Get a grip. He’s never had to manage a club that hasn’t had billions at his disposal (or cheated)
Put him in charge at Colchester (for example) and see how he gets on.
Never really tested as a manager.
My Granny could have won everything at Barcelona and City.
And he didn’t win everything at Bayern
Just stating facts my friend No need to get angry. That's right these clubs appoint him and pay him a shit-ton of money because he's no better than the average armchair manager, heck anybody could do the job. Get a grip.
Not getting angry, just treating your tripe with the respect it deservesJust stating facts my friend No need to get angry.
The trouble is, there is an element of truth in that statement you contest. I've heard Pep interviewed and I admired him for it, but he stated that a real challenge is managing a team from the lower leagues with few resources. Yes he's a great manager but when you are decent but have the best setup (cheating aside city are very well run) and manpower and opportunities, then it is probably more easy to achieve success than to fail. That's right these clubs appoint him and pay him a shit-ton of money because he's no better than the average armchair manager, heck anybody could do the job. Get a grip.
They are facts though. He’s never managed a team trying to get promotion on a low budget, or a team fighting relegation on no budget. Not getting angry, just treating your tripe with the respect it deserves
Excellent post.Watched his post match interview. Completely gracious and complimentary as usual. Even his "argument" with JpvH was polite "I said you played a good game but ..."
I enjoyed that win so much for what we did without needing to find some additional angle against one of the greatest managers of all time.
Stay humble eh.
