Bobby Zamora is back in training in a week or two. Perhaps he could use some time out on loan for the rest of the season to build his fitness back up?

IMO i think Gary Hart is rather important to the developing squad, i think he is the link between the youngsters and first team, with that experience he can really help the youngsters with his attitude and 'big game' experience. The development squad has just started so its mainly youngsters and trialists and having Hart in there gives them a bit more to learn from on the pitch.

I wonder if some of the people moaning about Gary Hart getting a contract are the same people who got bitter and twisted at Bennett's lack of loyalty ? Gary Hart has been a great servant to this club but his time is over now. Bennett wanting to move to Norwich is just a professional trying to make the most of his own career in exactly the same way anoybody does. It's not about 'loyalty' it's about business.

With all due respect, it's easy to be "loyal" when nobody is trying to buy you though, isn't it?

In terms of Bennett, I don't really have a major issue with him personally, I can't blame the guy for wanting to better himself in the short term. It was only the timing of it that disappointed me: leaving us up the creek with no time to replace him if he goes.

Highly unlikely as Crawley have no need to sell. Plus League One/Two clubs wouldn't be a terribly ambitious move for him, and I can't see a Championship club taking a punt as I suspect he lacks the pace to make it that high. Hence he's rumbled around the conference for years despite scoring hundreds of goals throughout his career.

No one seems to have noticed on the official site it states;

"Norwich seem to have turned their attention away from Elliott Bennett".

Pretty big news if you ask me.

That was my point. Not knocking Mr Hart but apart from Bristol City getting interested in him many seasons ago he's not been on many club's wish list. What gets me are the people who slag off Bennett (and Norwich) when both at just looking out for themselves, the same as we and our team would.

True, but aren't other clubs interested like Burnley?

Do you know for a fact that no other club has made an offer for Hart?

The total absence of any rumours or statements over the past decade lead me to feel that it is probably true.

I am starting to think you're his mother.

Of course I don't, but it is rather unlikely, isn't it, let's be honest with ourselves?

Would be very surprised if Newcastle let Carroll go to Liverpool.

Exact wording,

Official Site:

"Gus Poyet is hoping for a quiet deadline day, and says he will be content to end the day as he started it(, with a huge shit).

Norwich City appear to have switched their attention away from Elliott Bennett, after Albion chairman Tony Bloom stated on Friday that the winger is not for sale."
