5.00pm: The window has shut but that is not the end of things. It often takes a while for confirmation of deals to come through so there could still be news on signings for Albion and clubs across the country. I'm sure a few fax machines have been buzzing in the last ten minutes.

At least we got rid of McLeod. What a waste of wages that turned out to be.

Oh dear oh dear.
Don't like to criticise but the interview on saturday raised expectations and they have now been well and truly dashed
Let's hope the current squad can pick it up now and get some results or I'm afraid interest will start to wain and gates will start to fall

We should of got rid of the likes of Forster Murray Dicker Bennett Elphick and Dickinson cos i'm sure they're not going to enjoy league two .

Less points at home than games played?... That's ok, we don't need any fresh faces to get us out of the hole.

I dont know why I allow myself to believe that this year will be any different, I have done no work all day and my F5 key is knackered.

Last year going into the Orient game we had about 5 new signings and the expectation was huge with a great atmosphere (even if we did lose), I think we will be really flat going into this one and although on paper these players are good enough to get us out of the shit in reality they are probably not.

Please God let there be a last minute signing that we read about in the Argus tomorrow because at the moment I am fecking depressed!

Get real, we are 5th from bottom with a poor ground, poor training facilities and an even poorer home record would you want to come if you were half decent. Gus has brought in a couple of good signings (Painter and Calderon) so far so give him a fair crack of the whip and stop bleating about lack of signings. We have a decent midfield when they tick and a good strikeforce keep the faith

Can't argue with that. If you say you are expecting to make signings, you just become hostage to fortune. Wiser to say nothing until you are certain I think.

Another disappointing transfer day. Sorry, but I would rate our chances of staying up no better than 50/50 now.

we get rid of one player and bring in no one and what will poyet say the reasons be for not getting anyone in

Really?

considering we got in Calderon, Painter, Holroyd, Brezovan and Carole. I'd say that's more than none.
