It feels like a defeat now, but a draw was a fair result.

We never really got going properly but somehow found ourselves 3-1 up against a very dangerous looking Plymouth team, about 20 minutes to go and Henderson bearing down on goal with only their 'keeper to beat. One of their defenders tries to drag him to the ground but Henderson manages to shrug him off and continue. He fires wide. The ref goes back to the defender - red card surely? Afraid not - yellow was shown - I can only assume it was deemed that a goalscoring opportunity had not been denied because Darius still had one.

Plymouth throw the kitchen sink at us and it pays off as they snatch two goals and could quite easily have got the winner when, in injury time, a shot hit the post with Roberts beaten.

I thought Oatway played well and was everywhere, two great saves from Roberts but AWOL for their first, Knight was a spectator other than his goal, Henderson had his best game for us so far and Harding had an absolute shocker - why didn't Coppell take him off?!?

Odd perfromance - both sides looked weak at the back. Adam is no where near as good as Wato at full back.

We shouldn't blow 2 goal leads - 2 points lost but very entertaining game.

I suppose it is a case of what do you prefer a boring 1 - 0 or loads of gaols.

All in all a very entertaining game. Home Park has certainly changed since our promotion party a couple of years back.

We didn't really deserve a win, Plymouth got their tactics about right by playing a long ball game that mainly bypassed the midfield and looked the stronger team overall.

Their last goal was Butters fault really, Ben Roberts had collected it safely in his hands until Butters landed on top of him and the ball squirmed out to allow Plymouth a chance against an unguarded net.

Somehow the pasty didn't taste quite so good this year !

You managed to get a pasty?

Was it not the worst organised refreshment operation you have ever seen. Didn't have time to get anything either before the game, or at halftime due to how slow they were (and the fact I was stalking Artois (although he was in the queue himself at halftime))...

It's coz they were pouring the drinks into plastic cups from bottles, Bozza. Made everything take ages.

Obviously disappointed but most of us would have taken a point away from home I think, beforehand. I thought Harding was very poor - I know he's only a young lad but he's been built up quite a bit as a replacement for Jones, he looked completely lost to me. Defence disappeared for their first equaliser, rendering Roberts' excellent save just beforehand pointless. For their second I was screaming for the guy wide left to be closed down, he had as long as he wanted to cross the ball, Roberts had no chance.

Henderson had easily his best game for us, and Oatway was good too, but we're still missing Rodger's calming influence. The defence seemed intent on playing around with the ball at 2-3 rather than getting it clear, most frustrating.

Could have been worse though. When they hit the post in the 95th(?) minute I thought for an instant we were going home with nothing.

So I heard. It's not rocket science though, is it:

i) During the first-half pour 50-100 of them, ready to go for the half-time beer rush.

or

ii) Use those plastic bottles that you can give straight to the punters.

Agreed - Harding had a shocker - Coppell should have taken him off midway through the second.

At the end of the day we were poor, and a draw was probably a fair result on the balance of play. However the ref bottled the one big call he had to make which allowed them back into the game. Atempting to strangle Henderson when you are the last man is a red card offence, end of story he should have gone. With 10 men I doubt they would have come back.

Leon had a very quiet game but showed that all he needs is one chance to score.

Harding was poor, and I was extremely surprised that Coppell made no subs.

Defending for the first goal was shocking. Everyone at the near post while their man stroles in at the back unchallenged to score.

Nice ground (Falmer will be a lot better) and nice city.

Thought we played within ourselves, and missed Simon Rodger. A point at Plymouth is a point gained never two dropped.

Everyone on here seems to suggest Harding had a bad game and yet SC has singled him out for special praise - was he that bad?

he showed his inexperience from tim to time...i.e. hoofing it down the left flank for Henderson to chase even though he had no hope of getting it!
Other than that he was'nt too bad but will get valuable experience with Jones out, no doubt will be used if Jones gets injured/suspended again. Hopefully Harding will have a good home game and maybe try a couple of runs like his Leicester run to set up Knight...if he can do that 2/3 times a game then we could get a goal from it.

Exciting game.

Didn't think we played that well, and a draw was probably a fair result. Henderson had a good game aside from the shot that went wide after the rugby tackle incident. Nice to see him working well with Leon Knight too.

Shame it all fell to pieces in the last 10 or so mins. Get well soon Simon Rodger !

I have seen us 4 times this season and I don't think we have really played well yet. However we have 10 points from 5 games and scored 10 goals.

God help the rest of this league when we do start to play well !.

Only just got there on time. Somehow it took 6 hours. Then throw it away and feeling a bit down. Didn't know what to say really. No time to think about. If we had won I would have been all happy and ranting. :D

Shut up Turkey. You were fine. I was with you the whole time. You are just ABIT dim-witted.
