Shoe doping and bribing the officials. I'm starting to wonder if knocky1 has links to Russia.

Shoes will stay in the box. Not wearing them in the wet.
As to the bribing unfortunately I am the victim. The Hove Parkrun Mafiosi run by Simgull's family are clocking me backwards.
You'll be telling me my zimmerframe is cheating next.

Is it made from carbon fibre?

I notice from the table that we have the young big nuts topping the AGs. On Saturday a 21:34 for me will temporarily put me in AG leadership position and edge out Simgull. Storm allowing.

That's the aim but 12 days off may hit me. In swimming we trust.

EDIT Just see PP Arena day was cancelled weeks ago. Might see some of you at Hove park instead.

I noticed that but surely Artie Fufkin is the true AG king as he’s older than me!

I’ve been given a rare green light for Park Run on the 29th February so looking forward to posting a decent time somewhere.

First ever parkruns being held on a February 29th! I will be in Wellingborough though, so it'll be Irchester Country Park for me - a nice run through forestlands but when I was there before they missed a direction marker so I ran off in the wrong direction. To a certain extent, I blame myself as much as the RD. :lolol: But I wasn't the only person to get it wrong.

He's faster than you as well! Something wrong there. Well spotted. His AG from NYD was wrong. Unfortunately table now updated, we should have kept quiet.

In fact, looking at that I suspect a big volunteer effort will be needed next week if Brighton Half is to go ahead on the correct route. This weekend will make it worse still

I haven't entered the Brighton Half, so you can be assured it WILL go ahead.

Saturday I was thinking about going to Lancing because any excuse to spend time with the person who is Run Director, but they're not looking likely to go ahead. Hove Prom is rightly off, Seaford was cancelled Monday or Tuesday.

Weather forecast for Saturday is pretty horrendous......wouldn’t be surprised to see all the parkruns off.

Remember doing Bev a few years back when Hove Park was cancelled. No trees to fall and a nice push up the hill.
Probably stay at home drinking coffee.

Bloody Worthing!
Worthing and Littlehampton both off. Lancing looks dodgy (but when doesn't it, it's a dodgy sort of place) but I get the impression they really want it to go ahead and hope they do but fear they won't. Might be a day to find a treeless, mudless, non-coastal one. Good luck with that in Sussex.

See you at Bevendean! Calcareous grassland doesn't count as muddy.

Early heads up - Hove Park and Preston Park both in the balance.

Latest forecast shows storm not hitting till Saturday pm. 9 am has 10% chance of rain and 20-25 mph winds. Should be fine for PP and HP I would have thought?

Bare in mind hundreds of Prommers migrating northwards. I'm going for solitude.

I really don't understand why there are concerns about Hove Park and Preston Park, it doesn't seem like the storms are going to hit so early. Unless a tree falls in the night to block the course, I'm struggling to understand why there is concern about either. BUT, ultimately, it's volunteer led and I don't think it's going to be a whole lot of fun for anyone standing around tomorrow morning! Nothing but respect for those who do. I'm probably going to go and hit Bevendean, my work rate this week has been a joke and in order to meet some deadlines on monday I'm going to need to put some hours in on saturday. Bevendean is ideal for going to work afterwards.
