Guten Abend from Berlin! Collected race pack today and had a wander around the sights. Very busy here with runners and the election tomorrow. Quiet meal and an early night then bring on tomorrow!!

Best of luck for tomorrow, I hope conditions are favourable and you can achieve the time you're looking for.

IF I complete another marathon I'd like to look at an overseas one. I've been looking at the list and Copenhagen appeals in May so one I may well check out further nearer the time.

Good luck - hope you have a great day! It's such a good event - amazing finish at the Brandenburg Gate, after a final couple of Km down Unter den Linden.

20:04. Wish I'd known how I was doing - I assumed I was more on course for a 21, and stopped making much effort around the hairpins and towards the end.

Congrats to everyone who ran today :)
[emoji2] I did similar at Worthing this morning. Glanced at my watch about 30 second out and thought I was heading for around 22 mins - not worth giving everything to the line so I cruised in.

Then I found I missed my PB by 3 secs ...[emoji35]

Cheers all, my Strava measured 4.98km, only on watch so no upload until tomorrow. Southsea was the intended run but, well, sense of direction. [emoji23] The cycle here should have been no more than 48 miles, I managed 61! Had a pizza and a pint last night too, so all in all, not exactly the most textbook prep.

Sounds like you got it to me. Well done young man! :)

Definitely - it'll be the garmin that was wrong, not the parkrun course as they are all officially measured before they're launched.

Guideline is a 10% weekly increase in distance or hills for any training plan. Ignoring that I just walked/ran 8 miles up to the Dyke and back in 1:28.
Reality strikes. I may be able to jog a fairly fast Parkrun with little to no training but this was a different kettle of fish. Shattered sums me up. Good to get a run out though and I think I've survived.

1:29:44 chip time at the hilly Windsor Half today, and beat 1:30 on the gun to boot. Really pleased with that.

Now to the Amex!

Well done, that's a great time.
I managed it in 1-58-13. And pleased with that to be honest. Not as quick as last year but really enjoyed it!

1:44:07 so right in the middle. Very pleased as wasn't really sure where my fitness was. I was on for a PB at the 3/4 mark but the heat and hills in the last few miles took their toll. I was most relieved that I managed to stay in front of the 1:45 pacer after he caught me up.

Lovely course, will definitely do it again. Need to find a flat half marathon now whilst I've got some fitness.
