Bit too North for us. Somewhere More South maybe Krakow. Thanks for tip though.
No worries. Torun is called 'Mini Krakow' so I'm sure it's got one too.

22.11 for me at Worthing. My times for 2019 have all been clustered around the 22 mark - give or take a bit depending on course and conditions. I'm suffering from 'Runners' Dimness' which is a syndrome involving doing pretty much exactly the same training every week and then being surprised and disappointed when I get pretty much exactly the same times! This is probably forgivable for someone in their 2nd year of running, but not really for someone in his 35th or so.
Need to do a bit of thinking!
Shouldn't a training plan make you too tired to race every weekend? You then taper before the big day? At the moment I'm planning for the 29th June at Worthing. It's an Arena80 AG run, so plenty of competition for our old legs to race. Build up to that and I'll see you there. Adverse weather and we go the week before or after.
For myself this morning a gentle progressive trot on the Prom but good to see Dazzer and Simgull there. Good luck on the 3 Forts tomorrow Simgull.
I'll do the regular weekly change for an Greg Bobkin SB.
Yes - you've got it in one. It's the weekly parkrun regime: no space to put in a regime that would allow a 'peak'. There's lots of us who do this - simply going to the well too often. It's not clever but there's a tiny bit of mitigation - when you get to my age, every run might be your last, so if you are fit enough you give it 100%. At least now you've given me a target week to peak for ……..I just have to be bright enough to do it.
Related to this point there's quite an in-depth article in Runner's World extolling the virtues of the 80/20 formula - 80% of your training should be 'easy'. If it's good enough for the elites, I guess it's good enough for mid-pack trundlers too.
1s off SB for me at Hove Prom this morning (20.36). Bloody delighted with that after a 16 week block of long, slow distance training, marathon last week and no speedwork for ages plus having a cold all week. Will take the Age Cat 1st place as well [emoji16][emoji16][emoji16]
Good luck to anyone brave enough to take on the Three Forts. More gentle challenges over the Bank Holiday are to be found with the 6k or 10k Barcombe (a few miles north of Lewes)runs on Monday. A lovely course and nice atmosphere. I'll have a crack at the 6k. (See 'Sussex Races' for details.)
Love 3 Forts, excellent race.....bit gutted not to be doing it but had the (failed) Crawley 12 hour then London last week, and have somehow ended up entering the Arun River slog next weekend so 3 marathons/ultras in 5 weeks probably enough for my decrepit self. Good luck to anyone running - and remember it’s got an extra mile at 27.2 [emoji23][emoji23]
Which presumably means you insist on running 28
Best run for me this morning since my 20 miile training run for the marathon. 14 miles getting progressively quicker, getting 8:20s in to the Baltic breeze from miles 10-12 before forcing myself in to a slow cool down with half a mind on a probable speed session on Tuesday.

It's reassured me that the marathon fitness is there and was just being masked by my cold. Unfortunately my Mrs is away next weekend, leaving me with the kids, which means a parkrun when in peak form is probably not on the cards.

In fact next weekend I'm doing a hilly double header. Bevendean Parkrun on Saturday. Was a challenge with Penny's Harminica but I have had to concede defeat early as will have no chance of catching a man in form.
Sunday is https://portsladehedgehoppers.com/hedgehopper-5/ This a 5 mile run from Portslade sports centre up to SDW along a bit to the Dyke and back down. Part of the West Sussex Fun run League entries available on the day.
Training days for me but maybe see some of you there.
Cheers gaffa! dazzer6666, see you on the Arun [emoji106]The weekly change for another SB for Greg Bobkin and a move up the table.
