10 Miles Saturday morning for me, 88:19 not as quick as last week but at least its a work out.
Are you training for a specific event? Just wondered.

I am running the Brighton Marathon in April, but haven't started my proper training plan yet. Trying to build up miles and get a good base before Christmas.
Managed four miles at lunchtime and one of them was a shade over 9 minutes without struggling for breath so it's coming back. I still don't feel 100% when running though. No pain but I feel the movement in my left leg is still restricted, and as such my gait has changed. Slightly worried about getting an injury somewhere else due to compensating.
Has anyone else had issues getting their old style back after an injury?

Your weekend run was over 40% more climbing than you'll do in the Mouth to Mouth, so no problem if you got knackered on the hills. Just need to make sure you recover and are biting at the bit for race day with a 3 week taper. Good luck.
Relax - unless you're up with the leaders you'll find virtually everyone walking the uphills on things like M2M - always the case on trail marathons. If you try running them you'll be a) hardly any quicker anyway and b) sh*gged out when you get to the top. When you're training, get used to fast, purposeful hiking, particularly uphill (I have walked past people who were 'running' many times) - it's essential for long offroad events.
100%, that's how I got my current two......Managed four miles at lunchtime and one of them was a shade over 9 minutes without struggling for breath so it's coming back. Been training really hard with the aim of beating my personal best in the Brooks 10K this Sunday - Just had a look at the weather and saying 40mph + winds and rain. That's any chance of a good time gone.
Had an interesting run this morning. I did my usual 8 mile loop around the city in the dark at 6am but found that there was fencing up in and around parts of Tiergarten and armed police officers everywhere. I was directed back out but found the path blocked. I was then advised to follow the fencing down to the side of Brandenburg gate but eventually found myself trapped in an apex of security fencing and was now starting to cause concern for myself and the police. And by this time I'd picked up another person in a similar situation. We eventually were escorted through the cordon, across the secure area and out a gate by armed police. Turns out the whole area around the gate, park and the Adlon Hotel was locked down for Barak Obama's visit.
Just signed back up with the same coach as last year for marathon training. Look out knocky1 I have some unfinished business with sub-4!
She's going to earn her corn this time though. I have my running mojo back but all my body is capable of is 3 to 4 miles at 10.00s.
Fell down the stairs after England Vs Scotland on Friday.
Not ideal.
Missing Villa, Missing Brooks on Sunday, gutted.

Worthing parkrun for me. Perfect conditions; the calm before the storm. 22:01 - a bit disappointing but I ran 3+ miles to the start. Pity anyone doing an event tomorrow!
