Tried the kernel table beer last night. Meh it was a short session
I don't really rate this beer. Kernel do make some quite exceptional other pales and IPAs though.

OK...and then there were 4...
Other people I know rate it though. I've had the last 3 and are all great and given every Thornbridge beer I have had is exceptional I can only imagine how great this will be.
Strangely I really dislike their Tzara which seems to be a regular at Craft. Just don't find it particularly nice. However, in some respects, that's a good thing as it has meant I try different things which has led to my love of gose and berlinnerweiss beers.
I was forced out of the sunshine and into M&S today only to find that they stock Siren...result

That's the Kolsch one isn't it? Never had that as Kolsch is quite easy to get here so I've never felt the need. And I've never tried Gose either, I'll give it a go if you recommend it
Don't know if this is the right thread for this but today I completed my first test brew with my newly built brew boiler and mash tun. All parts bought from Home Brew Builder but assembled and manufactured myself to my own design .Have been brewing my own all grain recipes for a couple of years but today was a big day in my brewing career!
Only a 25 litre test brew today but with this equipment can produce 70 litre batches. This brew is a 3.8% pale session ale using home grown cascade hops combined with online bought citra hops for that tangy citrus bitter finish.
If there are no photos attached I failed to get them to work and will work it out tomorrow. Sorry if this is of no interest to people or if this is the wrong thread but I've had a great day brewing and wanted to share!

On a more serious note, thanks for sharing, a brewing thread on NSC would not be a bad thing.
I see The Seven Stars has been rebranded as a craft beer house and also Little Bluesmoke of Street Diner fame are doing some interesting looking food. I have never actually been in this pub under its various guises over the years (O'Neills at one point?), anyone tried it since the latest change?
I,ve bought a selection of Italian craft beers back from Bologna and am looking forward to trying them when I get back. Was gobsmacked at how good their beers from the local areas where where I had APA's, porters, and a gueze that was just splendid. I wish I could remember their names but of course I was......................'very very drunk"
I will drop back with reports on the ones I am bringing home though.

My brother lives in Bologna, and has never mentioned beer.
Then again he doesn't drink.
Perhaps I should visit him again.
Over 800 craft breweries now in Italy I believe. Quite remarkable when you consider that less than a decade ago there were practically none.
