Life & Death is an incredible beer, it really is.

It's very friendly, with no initial wariness about it, except superb taste.

As you say, it hides the alcohol so well, and packs taste, and is a total credit to the new age of brewers.

Elvis is similar isn't it? Took a 4 pack to a BYO quiz at my son's football club and was wondering how I was so pissed on 4 small tins.

Its 17.35 here in St.Petersburg, just managed to dodge a financial scam via my debit card, all sorted via email to Barclays, so having a glass of wine prior to several more tonight!

Yes GB, Elvis and Life & Death are both 6.5, with incredible tastes that hides the alcohol so well.

Mind you, The Belgians wouldn't entertain that lowness of abv for their breakfast.......:albion2:

This Fridat I am drinking properly, at long, long last.

Just cracked open a chilled Jaipur. Then it'll be Jam Shed wine from Tesco. Cheap and can be filed firmly under what my wine connoisseur Step Dad would call “alcoholic Ribena” but it goes extraordinarily well with the burger I intend to make and consume and can be drunk on its own whilst watching, say, a frenetic and probably poor quality League Two playoff game.

Yes, I’m home alone tonight :lolol:

OOOOH Jaipur !

I just had a Life and Death but not as cold as it should have been. It gets quite arsey with you if not at the right temperature. I know what you mean about Elvis though GB when cold enough. Dangerous.

Hence our laughing at Marky Mark when he had a 6.5 abv in Belgium that time and we called him out for drinking Benny Beer.

Was going to have some Guinness XX's (only discovered this recently when my father-in-law passed away, and was given his various bits and pieces of booze to "dispose of") but in light of el Capitan's retirement, I think I might have to crack open the box of Estrella Damm's I got very cheap in Sainsbury's today due to slightly damaged packaging.

Was that the night when you lost your phone, an elder gentleman lost his passport and I ended up walking 3 miles in the wrong direction before getting a taxi back to our hotel ?

I have a selection of various ales, these have been supplied by my daughters due to a yearly occasion I have. Some are familiar, some not. They've got to be better than the witches sputum(or whatever it was called) that number one gave me a couple of months back

We should do that again now we are better educated in the ways of high octane beverages, if only Ricemiester had bought that Lion a drink first he might have had a happier outcome.

Seeing as I am holiday with Mrs Jakarta no such nonsense likely but a word to those single NSCers, there are an incredibly high amount of gorgeous women in Moscow and St Peters. If I were twenty (alright then thirty) years younger etc...

Eased down a bottle of Pinot Grigio with a seafood pasta tonight, currently on final nightcap and doing (and hopefully sampling) a vodka distillery tomorrow prior to returning to Hotel for talk by the fragrant Lucy Worsley of BBC Fame in the evening who will be giving us a talk on the Romanoffs.
