Judging by the layout/angles of the 3 arch pieces on the pitch, and the position of the mahoosive crane that will lift them, would I be right in thinking that the first piece of the arch to go up will be the one in the north west corner, not the south west corner?

Don't worry Marcos, it's longer on my screen.

Certainly looks that way, wedgee.

Looks as though the last birthday cake has gone up too.

Next week for lift off?

The top of the first arch support and the final birthday cake are now in place :clap2:

Sorry about the bad angle but I was in a rush this morning.

Is smoking banned on site? I though it would be but this picture seems to differ.... Someone appears to be sitting on the SW dogs head smoking a huge cuban?!

the grey bits at the end of each arch have been removed over the weekend, a good sign.

I very much doubt it'll be today, what with the weather being like it is.

Probably tomorrow at the earliest.

I thought they would get all the pre cast concrete fitted to the West Stand before the arch goes up. Otherwise, they will have to keep lifting it over the arch with risk of damaging it and we dont want that

The precast concrete steps for the west stand are being lifted in from behind the stand, so the arch will not impede this.

Looks like the arch lifting slings have been fitted, to the crane. :clap2:
