Further reporting now that the match was abandoned in the 43rd minute after the Scotland U-19 manager received a positive test result. Sunday's game has been cancelled, as has the match between England U-17s (with Albion's Toby Collyer in the squad) and Scotland U-17s scheduled for Saturday at the same venue, St George's Park.

As per post #15:

Jensen Weir and Haydon Roberts are in the England U-19 squad for two friendly matches against Scotland at St George's Park. The first was scheduled for today - England were leading 3-1 at half-time when the match was abandoned as a Covid-19 positive test result of a member of the backroom staff was revealed during the first-half.

The second game is scheduled for Sunday.

Not sure if either of Albion's lads were in the starting line-up.

Andi Zeqiri is currently playing for the Swiss U-21s in their qualifier against Liechtenstein (the Swiss lead 1-0).

Baluta has been named in the starting line-up for the Romanian U-21s as they face Malta in their qualifier.

Carl Rushworth was an unused sub for the England U-20s as they beat Wales 3-0.

The Mali v Iran friendly in Turkey was cancelled due to positive Covid-19 tests in the Mali camp (although neither Bissouma nor Jahanbakhsh were in their respective country's squads).

Ben Wilson had to pull out of the Northern Ireland U-21 squad through injury, as did Tariq Lamptey from England's.

Gyokeres missed Sweden's U-21 qualifiers this week as he served out his suspension for being sent-off back in September.

Probably not relevant apart from the thread title and Joël Veltman - and I'm also a terrible gambler - but Italy look a good bet to beat Netherlands at home tomorrow at evens (or better).

NL are yet to win (or score a goal) under De Boer, who is the KNVB's worst ever appointment, and Italy are unbeaten in ages. A bit annoyed cos they were 5/4 in some places yesterday.

ROI are awful. Duffy the best player on the pitch by a mile. Ireland seriously lack anything going forward. Wouldnt be suprised to see them sack their manager after the next round of internationals.
