Good shout - I’ve all their albums and saw them at the Dome a couple of times. Led by very talented Bill Nelson.

Snap.

Less impressed by his 'red nose' (yes, I know, 'noise'; the youth can be so cruel*) which is weird since I'm a big fan of electronic music. Weak singer, is perhaps the reason.

Yet another poster I was 'down the Dome' with only I didn't know it. Spooky :lolol:

*I was quite fond of a group called Delta Five. My pal, Nils, called them 'Delta Five Out of A Hundred' :lolol:)

Been looking for this for years. Taped it when I lived on Buckingham Road and worked at the royal pavillion tavern. Didn't know the name of the track.

This is completely mad and wonderful. And shit. And yet brilliant.

Why do midduw class peepawl put on a fake werkin clarse accent, though?

Best end to a track ever.

Going back a bit, and apologies if I posted them earlier, but Wigwam.....

This album is just gorgeous. 1975 I think.

Edit from this link you can hear the whole album. Sit back and youtube will do the rest.

A Finnish band ... with an English lead singer.

I had a couple of Wigwam albums back in the day. I also had a solo album by one of their guitarists - Tolonen! There was another Finnish group of that era too - it was something like Transylvanian Presidenti

EDIT: Just looked it up - they were called Tasavallan Presidentti. Jukka Tolonen had an, er, interesting life. He was homeless for a while, had drug problems and then got sent to chokey for stabbing his girlfriend. In jail he discovered Jesus and now writes Christian music

Lol. Cheers for that. I just realised your main initials are the same as mine. Spooky :lolol:

I have the first four of his releases on CD. What a character. Loved listening to his stuff on Peel. I taped loads. The one about the Black Book is a particularly fabourite. Gruts, of course. 'Come and sit beside me' came up on the iPOD yesterday. His missus (Phyllis King) reads poems on some of the CDs. Hers are typically extremely short, and sometimes quite startling. He was a boxer in the army (hence the cover pic) but I'm sure you know that

Well now, HWT, I didn't know he was a boxer in the army 👍. Cutler's a great wordsmith and mood merchant: different, eccentric, brilliant in his own way. Peel left a great legacy that we still dip into 👍

Some years ago I found an amazing website that contains hundreds of hour of JP progs that folk recorded on 8 track and digitized. You have to register on the site. I have a feeling it is condoned, but not encouraged if you see what I mean.
