Dean Smith must be close to the boot.

So average imo, he relied on Sock Boy. The board have spent £444m in transfer fees alone over 5 years, he’s been supported and some, they racked up £100m’s of accounts losses in doing so (even pre Pandemic). All he could manage was a play-offs promotion despite that huge financial advantage.

Once gone, he’ll become just another Adkins.

The unlucky manager, picking up the collateral damage of obstinate Levy refusing to sell. Citeh aren’t even a rival, they’re light years ahead of Spurs in everything bar steel/concrete/£15,000 H Club seats.

Levy ‘won’ a childish in his mind battle, but Spurs lost the war. Rarely good for a club to enforce a contract against a star player’s wishes.

Crowd turned on Levy yesterday, most toxic game i have been to at Spurs.

Nuno about to be sacked apparently

Spurs fans reaching Arsenal levels of entitlement they are 8th in the PL having won 3 of last 5 PL games with two defeats against a Man Utd side on the rebound from an embarrassing defeat against Liverpool and West Ham who are one of the top form sides in the division. The club has not heavily invested in playing side this summer and is holding their star player against his will.

What do they expect one season apart recently when have Spurs ever been competing at the top table? The way the fans were hounding their manager yesterday you would thing they were down the bottom of the league having just been beaten by Norwich.

Why did he leave Wolves, do you know? I thought he had a very good thing going there, or were there some behind the scenes shenanigans that put paid to what seemed like being a long-serving managership?

My guess is that after two 7th place finishes they were not happy ending up 13th while he himself was probably a bit tired of managing a good but small squad in a club that I think is a little bit more shady than it might look. Jorge Mendes is no saint.

He also spoke quite a bit about how painful it was to have his family in Portugal while being in England during the covid thing, barely meeting his family for over a year. I was thinking he was going to go home to Portugal and chill for a bit and I think that might have been the intention until Spurs appeared with a presumably big bucket of cash.

I’m a regular visitor to the fightingcock Spurs forum. ENIC/Levy have had a booting for a few years, it’s now almost unanimous, just a couple of sycophants remaining who won’t critique …. they probably get a boner at the sight of the 17,000 Kop.

Poch was the best manager you had in decades (style of play, league finishes), Levy stopped spending in transfer windows, he wasn’t supported.

They booted him due to style of football, like hughton

If true, that's insane. Sacking CH was down to style and survival/progress, with no prospect of improvement in either. Wolves had ended 7th, 7th and 13th - hardly a reason for alarm bells to start ringing surely? Oh well.

I had him down as a Lawrie Sanchez type, leaving a good thing and it not working out at all; I am still happy to smile at his demise for that reason alone.

I really want to believe that, but there is a big connection here between Barber and Levy.

https://www.spurs-web.com/spurs-new...ghton-man-reveals-he-learns-from-daniel-levy/

I still await to see what could be done if they came in.

It's a shame there has to be doubt, but we have been wounded once, trust know one and keep one eye on god.

I read that as a Hollywood star thanking the producers at an obscure rep theatre for giving him his first job. He's not appearing as Widow Twanky there ever again!

Villa fan thinking Potter may be tempted being a Solihull lad

Ex Birmingham City though - they had the bed sheets out complaining about this when McLeish and Bruce managed them, though I do understand Potter claims to have been a Villa supporter as a kid.

Poch wasnt blameless - he was offered good players and turned them down

He also signed some utter trash when he did spend. Lo Celso, Sanchez, Ndombele, Sissoko did not come cheap - how much that was him - who knows.

Maybe PB won't go back under levy, but I was referring to GP being made a offer he could not refuse.

So you think Graham Potter would sign for Spurs because Paul Barber is a Tottenham fan..?

Not quite, I probably best leave it there.

Wolves didn't have enough gold for him, the streets are paved with more gold on London :lolol:
