Can't remember the last time The Argus posted something that wasn't already known...

What about a couple of days ago, when the story ran about gus having six or seven options coming in, and between two and four going out? I seem to remember everyone getting very excited on here.

IMO AN gets a rough deal on here. Despite what some people might think, it's a pretty tough gig. In the age of the internet, to grab people's attention in print media is very difficult, as is the task of getting an interesting and relevant story up every day.

He/they also have to maintain a good relationship with the club, which means they have to be relatively conservative about what they write, and the information they reveal.

Finally, I think a lot of people are looking through blue tinted glasses, whereas he, quite rightly remains impartial, and doesn't have a bias towards the club. He's just doing his job.

Comparing the two is futile. An internet forum is far removed from a regional daily newspaper.

He's PAID to do it. And that's not the issue, he often denigrates NSC, and says that it's just full of idiots etc. He never acknowledges NSC even though it consistently breaks news before The Argus.

I'm often in agreement with you Mellotron, but surely you can see the irony of complaining about the way a journalist slags off NSC, on a thread where people are posting some pretty negative and personal comments?

Anyway, there are a lot of idiots on NSC. You only need to look at some of the threads started in the last day to realise that. I'm guessing he is not glued to it, like many fans are, either...

Of course there are. But I think it's pretty unprofessional of a professional journalist to "slag it off" and refuse to acknowledge that NSC is a VERY useful source of info.

And when he 'breaks' the news a day after NSC, he slaps EXCLUSIVE in the heading.
Also, it's not so much that AN follows us, the Argus follow us and he's currently the journo they pay to do it, he's not doing us a favour.
