Do it on Astroturf. Will save a load of aggro.

Why would it?

The two grass pitches, including compulsory insurance, cost less than £100, for the full day.

To hire a 3G pitch for a full day would cost hundreds. Unless you suggest putting up the entry fees from £50 per team to £150, its a non-starter.

And it wouldn't be nearly as good anyway. The whole point is to lie around in the sun in the park, between games.

Under your skin.
As I said I would help if I can. I'll have the time to help, just not the brain power :(

I'd be up for entering a team in this. I could prob pull a very good team together but on second thoughts winning isn't everything so i may propose

Me
Cecil
Simmo
Zac Simmo
Brighton HaHa
Scanny
Adrie 1066
Uncle Spielberg (so Cecil can get horse tips)

THAT would be a f***ing DREAMTEAM of goons :)

You could get the pitches cheaper with a charity angle.

The pitches at Preston Park were a disgrace last year, and dangerous. Just a thought, like.

i would be willing to step up and try and get this organised, if no other goons step up to the plate soon. Was a top day out last year would be a real shame for it not to go ahead this summer plus im pants at football so probably better off not playing this time..

One thing that is ESSENTIAL, is that you have someone who is not playing to assist on the day - keeping record of the results, updating tables, collecting money, etc. The lovely Lush, did it for me those first two years and was INVALUABLE.

Cheers

Simon

And last year :) I am happy to help again if I am free on the day, so long as I don't end up picking up everybody's rubbish/water bottles up at the end. Bloody TEENAGERS.

I also seem to remember that the Sunday after Pride is not a good day to choose.
