I think you’ve just proven Bozza’s point there, in that we’ve also had complaints it’s too far to the right.

In moderating decisions I don’t care one iota what “side” you are, if you’re out of order then action is taken but I’ll try and let as much free speech go as is good for Bozza’s blood pressure and family. The others I would imagine are broadly the same but I can’t speak for them.

There is at least one pro Brexit mod and at least one Tory but no one checks when you sign up - I only know it from their posts on other threads. They both manage to make these points without abuse too which is probably why they were asked.

Feel the same. After being called a wanker I haven't really been bothered with NSC anymore. I will take a quick look at the threads and generally move on. I think the language aimed at people has been an absolute disgrace.

I’m not left wing, but have found you can have a decent debate with most who might be including the mod/s you have in mind. If you concede a bit, others do too.

One or two other posters seem very hateful about the UK, can see nowt good about the place, and childishly think they’ve won by always having to have the last say. Leave them to it and just smile to yourself. Far more to life and health than angrily tapping away, mistakenly thinking you can brow-beat other adults into submission.

We're from all walks of life, all political views, I love the regular face to face discussions/banter I have with fellow fans who don't share my view of the world, almost always done in a spirit of mutual respect. It's not like that on here sometimes and I find that a bit sad, especially since I'm sure virtually none of the abuse would actually happen in person. It is the very nature of an anonymous message board that some people, sadly, will do that. I did a bit of it myself occasionally years ago....
These days I nearly always keep my politics on FB and Twitter and come here for the Albion. Easier and less stressful for all concerned, including yours truly

Yes, I am sure that you are right -indeed I have read on here over the years, that when folk do actually meet up, then they are surprised to find out that someone they disliked via NSC was actually quite pleasant. All anonymous social media boards run the risk of some folk indulging in cowardly abuse, as posters know they cannot normally be located.

I don't regard any anonymous abuse directed against me as cowardly, funnily enough. But that sort of thinking seems to be related to the way some people regard inter-club abuse at football ('see you outside; you ran away' sort of malarkey). It never occurs to me to settle a dispute with fisticuffs, so perhaps the veiled threats have whooshed me. Do people want to hit me, or think I want to hit them? Crikey! Certainly not.

I must confess that rough language is water under the bridge in the tackle household. Mrs T is quite posh sounding, as those on here who have met her will attest, but she wouldn't think twice about calling me a charlie Uncle (etc) as long as the nipper wasn't in earshot, of course.

I suppose what I'm saying is that I hope that most of the people I have abused on NSC have accepted the context, and ....
