Firefox 11 status shows waiting for site xxx to respond, none of which are NSC, so it looks like slow response from Advertising sites. I will post any that I can capture.

Like Tricky Dicky I'm at work so cannot upgrade, and cannot use alternative browser.

No. It was this which I installed only yesterday and I need further feedback.

Bizarrely I've not seen a single auto-link yet - the fact you are means something is working somewhere...

I think I am, I was getting directed to a betting website every time I hovered over the name Vicente ? Is this what you mean

Windows 7

Firefox 11.0 - rus slowly, becoming unresponsive when it appears the page has loaded. (can't scroll, click anything and get an unresponsive notice across the top of the window, then a second or two later it finished loading and become responsive again).
Chrome 18.0.1025.162 m - no apparent unresponsiveness on nsc, (only checked a couple of pages). Can still scroll, while the tab loading circle is visible after the page has apparently loaded (not signed in)
Safari 5.1.5 - As with Chrome.

Reckon so. Betting sites every pop-up - completely useless for me, and if that's what's causing the problems, then I don't like them. If they're not causing probs, I'll just keep my mouse away from green links. But page loading is still v.slow.

I saw a lot of the links yesterday. Three or four within each post. They were green and double underlined, and a pop up appeared whenever the mouse passed over it (didn't need to hover).

Haven't noticed any today.

Yes, seeing green hyperlinks which give you a popup for Betfair.

Annoying to be honest.

NSC is selling out!

Only joking. I seem to recall that the skimlinks plugin is very lucrative and is probably one of the contributory reasons why NSC donated £1k to REMF, however I do agree that the current plugin makes things very slow.

Skimlinks has lots of troughs - most days are £0.00 - £2.00, with the occasional peak. There's been no report of performance issues with Skimlinks alone was running.

I was hoping this new advertising model would be more consistent as it's based on page impressions and does not rely on purchases being made.

I have disabled Skimlinks in case there has been any contention between the two differing JavaScript items on each page.

Can you let me know if things are better or otherwise different.

Sorry, I thought Skimlinks was the moneymaker. I do recall you saying that there was a massive spike in income after you did your jiggery pokery some time ago?

Nope - Google Adsense (the big banner at the top, stuff at the bottom, and in-thread if you're not logged on) is the big moneymaker.
