Won't somebody PLEASE think of the apprentices of Mile Oak
- we like da kidz.
You know what - I'm more interested in what I consider to be unprovoked abuse splashed over every medium available to the OP and his very clear intent to try and discredit me.
Jimmy Saville did a lot for charity I believe.
How about a sticky about sponsored stickies? Lessons learned and that.
I'm reading this on the toilet, not sure which I'm enjoying the most at the moment.
I'm assuming that those who are criticising Bozza for his stance on the original apprenticeship thread actually saw it and formed a considered view on whether it constituted advertising or not? It would be a bit rum to criticise a decision if they didn't actually see the OP.
Whether they did or didn't, it's a moot point. In terms of what is allowed and what isn't, this isn't a democracy. It's Bozza's ball as site owner/administrator and he can decide how it's played with. From everything I've seen, he tries to be fair and consistent. No doubt, he has others whose opinion he can call on if he's in doubt as to whether he's about to/has made the correct decision.
As he's posted elsewhere in this thread, this topic is not a black and white issue - there are shades of grey involved in deciding whether something is commercial and thus requires a sponsored sticky in order to be posted. For this particular post, he made the call that it was commercial and thus required a sponsored sticky - I don't see how anyone can really argue with that.
Anyway, the thing that seems to have really riled Bozza is the OP's response - going public on here with a gripe is well known to be a no no. Abusing Bozza on Twitter and then retweeting your own tweets from a second account, as has been reported, is, imo, well beyond the limit of acceptable behaviour.
The bloke was trying to do someone on here a favour boy getting one of our sons into employment. Why should he pay
But NSC is Bozza's to do with as he pleases.I just think Bozza sees what he wants to. Rightly or wrongly in this instance, there is a deep running vein of double standards on NSC. That depending on whether you are part of the "In" crowd or not.
Offering people out? What are you inferring? More than happy to apologise face to face and shake hands, as I've said before I can be found in N1A, row W, seat 240
paying for advertising is nothing new on NSC, been like that for a while now? Can't see what Bozza has done wrong if another similar paid ad is coming up.
That said, I don't think offering people job opportunities should be considered advertising myself. I've hired two people from NSC and both have done me proud and I consider to be good friends too.
That's good news that you have hired people from NSC, that's how it should be decent BHA fans helping each other.
So would you allow free advertising across NSC as long as it's something a Brighton fan might want to buy?
I was actually referring to employment here Martyn, we see plenty of threads on here like ' anyone recommend a Plumber' and this works, I myself have done a few jobs for fellow BHA NSC users.
If a fellow BHA fan wanted to employ someone why not ask on here, win win I think.

I may be wrong here, but I read the PM from Bozza to say someone else had paid £50 to place a very similar advert to appear soon and it would be unfair on the person who has paid to have another one showing which is free.
All done via a perfectly calm PM but the OP had a hissy, probably fueled by alcohol, and made a "private" message public trying to undermine the site owner.
But you haven't posted on here saying 'hi i am a plumber anyone need any help?'. There is a difference to the 'my bathroom is flooded, i need help, can anyone recommend a plumber' and you say 'i'll PM you'.
The former should be paid for, the later is down to you being on NSC at the time a plumber is required. Dont get me wrong i think we should help each other out where we can (and i have also) but Bozza has set his own and thus the sites limits, he broke them, he throws a strop.
Anyway, your on my 'Call if need a plumber' now.
