Derek Knight =spurs fan Brian Clemenson =arsenal
If you look at the stats for Ken Tester, you'll know that most of his dogs go lame much more often than other trainers...it's a bit of a standing joke at the track amongst the regulars when he gets a decent dog given to him to train, it's only a matter of time before it will get an injury.
John Gammon is ok as a trainer, but doesn't get the overall strike-rate or consistance of winners compared to some of the others.
Someone like Derek Knight or Brian Clemenson are both excellent trainers and have had many very good dogs over the years and have done really well with them, including Derby Finalists.
Clemensen has done well since his portsmouth days and could be worth a shot. not sure where his kennels are?
Yes i quite agree about Tester. Have supplied him with several dogs over the years and watched them all go steadily backwards. Smashing bloke but doesnt have the nous, the setup or the staff.
Got a lot of time for Knight but from my experiene with him in the past he is reluctant to travel for minor opens. may have changed?

I have no previous with Gammon. Main reason i put him forward is that he is at cosmic kennels. i had dogs there in the bob young days and like the set up. as long as it has been maintained?
Right, a quick count up:-
£100 : Me(Seagulltonian), Barry Izbak, Manny, Mrs Manny, J2 BHA, Briref, Prawnsarnies, The Merry Prankster, dazzalewis1968, HB&B
£50 : Gazwag, Pat Albion?, Hola Gus, Stevie Boy, Safeway
Maybe's : righton 70
So, I make that £1250, if my maths is right, and I've counted everybody properly. (If I've made a mistake, please feel free to correct it!)
Still up for Thursday myself as well
clemenson never worked at portsmouth he was at hackney and canterbury also youll be very lucky if you get an open racer for 1k i personally wouldnt want any involvement in a syndicate but i can sort you out a dog if you want .
sorry boys, just found out im losing my job so count me out
I am happy to come in with half a share with somebody else.
Can I suggest a PM is sent to the interested parties as sometimes its easy to miss or forget to look at a particular thread. Also ask for an email address of each person so a blanket email can be sent out once all the details are know.
Is it a case of individuals setting up a standing order themselves rather than a direct debit being set up by the bank account holder, not sure if D/D will mean bank charges. With internet banking this should be very straightforward.
Also would it be worth asking Bozza to set up separate forum to keep this off the main board especially when Syndictae name and dog name suggestions are made.
