And so the 'regular season' ends....

1) How many points did Albion get in their promotion season of 2010 ? 95
2) How many points did Albion get in their promotion season of 2016/17 ? 93
3) Who did Newcastle United beat to pass Albion on the final day of the 2016/17 season ? Barnsley
4) Who succeeded Bary Llloyd as full time manager of the Albion in 1993 ? Liam Brady
5) In which year did Peter Taylor leave the Albion to join Brian Clough at Notts Forest ? 1976
6) Who provided the cross for Gordon Smith to head in Albion's opener in the 1983 FA Cup Final ? Gary Howlett
7) Who's last minute goal against Ipswich Town sent Albion into the Div 2 play-offs in 1991 ? Dean Wilkins
8) Who was Albion's first league home win this season against ? Spurs
9) Who is currently 10th in the Premier League ? Burnley
10) Who is currently 4th in the Championship ? Brentford[/

Textbook ‘Game of 2 halves’ for me, that. Only got TWO of the first 5 right, and looked out of it, but stormed back with all of the second 5. :goal:

And now I face the boy BADGER in knock-out competition, for the first time since the final of the 2009 NSC charity 5-a-side tournament!

The play-off format involves a home and away leg. This is how it works:

Here are your categories:

Albion since the AMEX
Albion during the Withdeam years
Albion up to 1997
Premier League 2018/19
The World Cup and European Championships
FA Cup trivia

The home team in each leg nominates the category they wish to form the quiz.

Away goals count in the event of a tie.

There are ten questions in each leg.

Both sets of questions will be presented at the same time.

You have until 1000 Saturday morning to submit your answers.

The Cup format is a straight ten question knockout

Please submit your chosen 'home' category on this thread and the questions for both competitions will be put up later.

I’ll take the Albion since the Amex please. Sadly I suspect, Badger will go Withdean years, and RINSE me on it!

Ha. Brighton Lines needs an extra set of questions now!

:ffsparr: That went well.

One category I did not expect the sleepy enclaves of West Sussex to go for.

:lolol:

There’s a fine balance between being old enough to have seen / heard / learned stuff, and being too old to remember any of it!

True enough HKFC, supporting the Albion has and always will be a generational event.

A top flight victory being a very generational event.
