I had reason to visit the ticket office this afternoon for sundry purpose's unconnected with the Villa game.

The guy in there one with the beard not Scottish superstar insisted the Villa details were NOT yet finalized. He said I was foolhardy for booking a train ticket. The Villa ticket office have so far confirmed nothing to the Albion. Sunday still considered as an option!

Why would it be on Sunday if its not on the tellybox ?
Birmingham have been drawn away, and Villa is far enough away from everyone else shirley.

That is what I said. But insisted the Wolves/Palace and the Euston/New Street congregation was a problem.

Quite a few games are non televised Sunday kick offs.

And there is nothing on the Albion website to confirm the date and KO

If it does change now, there's going to be a lot of very unhappy train ticket holders. All of who will blame the club, despite them having NOT announced a date yet.

I wish they'd hurry up mind - I want to book a hotel, innit.

So hang on, when teh feck is the game?!

I can't see how they can change it from Saturday @ 3pm really. Earlier or later the same day and we'd still overlap with Palace, Friday would be difficult for Villa as they play on the previous Wednesday and Sunday would be difficult for us as we play at Stockport on the following Tuesday.

Why on earth would Villa advertise on their web site a game the club are denying the correct KO time ?

Villa would like very silly if this was switched to another KO time or even day.

Villa will be used to having games switched at fairly short notice. In couple of days the Website could say 'Brighton switched to 2pm Sunday 24th Jan' no Villa fan will care, a thousand or so Albion fans might. Including me

Train tickets will still stay relatively cheap for the next week or so, so I am not going to panic. I am guaranteed a ticket anyway for being a season ticket holder.

Depends what you mean by *relatively*. The tickets I bought went from £22 to £43 in the space of an hour or so this morning once the kick off time date were 'confirmed' by Villa. I've no doubt there will still be some deals out there, but they might involve less convienient train times.
