What a season, but that today was shite and for me marked a sad end to an incredible season. As I really cannot see us getting Europe unless God grants us a miracle. I really hope I look an idiot come May, but my gut says otherwise.

Defensively in midfield we were awful. No one marked their opposite number correctly, we left gaping holes in midfield and in attack we were tactically woeful. Why oh why are we trying to walk it in. So f***ing predictable. Against a good side we would have been pumped. We didn’t even bother to attack our corners and defend much out wide.

Think RDZ really needs to learn alot and show a more flexible approach..we are crying out for a decent CDM as we all know, but that wasn’t good enough for a side supposedly trying to get Europe for a 2nd successive season.

Excited to see what happens in the Sunmer.

I’m astonished you think/thought the season was going to finish differently. Since Jan, been saying 13th be a good/realistic final table finish. What’s wrong with everyone’s radars? Have people forgotten who we are? The club that is more than able to snatch defeat from victory’s jaws etc? Why in earth did you believe we’d get into Europe 2 seasons on the trot, like once isn’t a f***ing miracle that will never be repeated? Where is our silverware? Our history of consistency? Bloody hell, have I been supporting a different team for 45 years? When’s this period of Domination to produce such confidence and believe we would, in the age of money buys success, beyond another miracle actually qualify for Europe (EUROPE!) a 2nd time? I just don’t understand why or how so many people believe we might finish higher than the relegation zone each season. We’re a candidate for the bottom 6 every season, not the top.

This is partly where I am and have been for a while, but some players have been ripped out by being sold and some by being injured.

It’s clear we’ve had a tougher season, with more games and a first chance in Europe with a worse squad than last season. Pedro was another great signing but I feel let down by Milner, Fati and Dahood and Igor was always a poor man’s Colwill. I hope lessons have been learned throughout the club.

Last summer we didn't add enough Prem-ready quality and to not rectify that in January has meant the season has completely fizzled out, although a lot of that to do with the additional injuries on top.

Let's hope some of the younger players we've signed really kick on next season or it will need Bloom to spend an awful lot of money for us to be competitive in the top half again.

We’ve never really added ‘PL ready’ quality in numbers….next season, when some of Barco, Baleba, Buonanotte, O’Mahoney or any number of others on our books or about to be signed in our very deep list of high potential kids hit the mark we’ll all be saying how good the recruiting has been. Seeing short-term dips as a failure of long term strategy is idiotic.

Some are going to defend Roberto if we dont win a single more game this season which is a very real possibility. Worse and worse football for a year now we can talk injuries and lack of recruitment all we want they do it at every club.. 13th no problem getting worse every month is a different beast Dont think Tony Bloom think we are as bad as fans and Roberto seem to think. Imo we have a good squad want two or three new signings and a new manager to lead the team and will be very hopeful for next season

And in January we clearly needed width. But yeah, hopefully the long term gain continues to pay off and we see another Macallister or Mitoma or Caicedo come through and it will be happy days again.

the real issue is strength in depth. that doesn’t just mean numbers but also quality. that’s what we need to work towards. the difficulty is finding players who are content to maybe be on the bench but can also offer something as a sub, or when we have injuries. as our first choice 11 is still very good. that’s where the recruitment team need to work their magic in the summer, if at all possible. obviously we do need player who can improve the first 11, likes of dewsbury-hall would help with that. but we do need that ability across our squad. as currently lallana, fati et al. aren’t cutting it

injuries have ravaged us, but the most concerning thing is that when we have had players come back in, it doesn’t seem to have led to us kick on.

I think it ended after that Sheffield Utd win. We started to believe our own press, got complacent, then the heads went down and we’ve been unable to lift ourselves.

24/25 will be a shitshow if we don’t change something. I think there’s a fair few players that need to be changed, and some of them are in the ‘favourite/legend’ category.

We actually played with a different strategy today by playing long balls to Welbeck. He wasn’t great at holding the ball up tbh.

Mainly because as soon as the ball reached him, the defender would have his arms round him, or kneeing him from behind - which meant he could neither hold the ball, nor turn. What I did find frustrating is that we bought the speedier young lad on towards the end, and he was desperately crying out for the ball to be played long and in front of him to chase. There was one moment when he literally threw his hands in the air because we decided to fanny around at the back at the bit more rather than play him in.
