I simply used A23 as a guuide in the same way as [people suddenly refer to Beeding being 15KM from Brighton as it sounds further than 10 miles or the difference between Brighton and Falmer and Brighton and Beeding being only about 4 miles.
I am concerned about the granting of Falmer and do not believe that it is a mere formality as is indicated by many on here and what the alternatives will be.
Withdean to my mind is the most obvious. The bridge at Tongdean Lane would not be a problem if the police closed the road COMPLETELY and stopped supporters from the North Stand going that way but directing them to the next road to access London Rd near the junction with Carden Avenue and also stopped vehicles leaving the Sportsman Car Park immediately the game finishes. I think that should be done in any case to allow pedestrian supporters to leave safetly.
