Yup, the afore-mentioned Old Vic.Lord Bracknell said:I've just remembered what a superb pub the Seven Stars was when it was still furnished with the original Victorian / Edwardian fixtures and fittings. The classic horseshoe-shaped serving area in the middle, with lots of small bars and rooms off it.
They ripped the place apart to turn it into one big, open space. And it stopped being a pub and became some sort of "entertainment" centre.
I really am in Grumpy Old Man mode now.The Large One said:Yup, the afore-mentioned Old Vic.
Skins, scooterists and ska bands.

DIFFBROOK said:My typical Saturday night consisted of starting off in the Pavillion Tavern, going off to the Old Vic, Smugglers, Hennekys and then around to Swifts. Then before closing time off to Coasters.
After Coasters (hello Rory) I went to the pool parlour (or Ritas as it was changed too). It was my then girlfriends uncles place. God it was dodgy or it appeared to be for an 18 year old.
Happy days

Went to Le Grandgousier. It was six courses for a tenner - one of which, I remember, was a basket of raw vegetables. Great place though.
