I'm going by ST Saturday, it's a 3pm KO and only 4 hours drive (make that 4.45 for a stop). Leaving at 8:10 from the Amex means arriving around 1:00.
Driving to Ipswich from Uckfield if anyone wants to share.

Not just the young ones.

"What a fun time we had on that Seagull Travel coach" said no one ever.

Saturday is going to be shenanigans.
Used to travel with Blues Away a lot and they use to sell pies on board and do coffees, teas and hot chocolate which was always a plus over ST. Gave them up after they decided to do extra drop offs between Falmer and Polegate which added ages onto return trips. Always do trains when I can but they never run smoothly, ever, nowadays, especially since we have been promoted. I loved the trips up the east coast from St Pancras, you could always get first class seats for about a tenner extra each way and they were always on time.

I’d probably end up at Cambridge South station waiting for a replacement window.
Given Cambridge South isn’t open yet because it’s still being built, you’d have a long wait 🙂
