2 things to take from that, either side of the debate:-Just going by this rant on the thread:
- It's not for the bloke behind to decide who stands and who sits.
- Assuming matey behind was standing too, why didn't he go?

I actually purchased a chicken pie as well. The inaccuracy's are mounting up
Not least in the mis-placed apostrophe department.
will I be escorted out saturday and banned?
No but you will be given extra homework.
I'd like to know if any fan has been selected at random because s/he was standing and immediately thrown out without warning. I very much doubt it.

It was because he stood up (no pun intended) to the head steward, he said raising his voice (not shouting) something like "we've stood here for two years, why are you telling us to sit down now?" That was during the first half, then at half time he came back with loads of other stewards and has a quiet chat with him then escorted him out
So he was asked to sit down. He didn't. He argued. He got thrown out.
And some people are suprised by this? Really?!
I have massive sympathy for any fan banned for the rest of the season just for standing. Whatever you think about the standing issue, such a punishment in no way fits the 'crime' and I would hope every other Albion fan agrees with that.
I'm getting more and more concerned about the way our football club is being run and the way in which our most vocal fans are seemingly being purged from Falmer. It appears the club are aiming to make the North stand the same as the rest of the ground; with everyone seated, creating little or no atmosphere.
There was no warning. He was imediatley thrown out for "raising his voice", the steward informed me that was the reason. No prior warning, no account taken for his history of supporting the club or behaviour at football. Again, persistent standing is against the rules in the ground but the manner in which this happned was truly shocking.

See my earlier post. The stewards are getting a culture of self governing. They aren't Brighton fans, many are meat heads, just looking to take someone on. Yet no one at the club seems to care.
If that is the case, which I very much doubt, then people are fools to take issue with them. If you have a problem with the club policy then take it up with the club. Alternatively, go to a game, have a few drinks, take issue with the stewards who are doing their job, and end up missing the biggest game of the season!!!!! Seems to me to be a no-brainer.
They haven't enforced the sit down rule there SINCE THE STADIUM OPENED.
Yes they have.
